The way they treat her is horrible. But what can I do? I thought as I walked down to Anastasia’s and Drazilla’s room to grab the laundry. They kept the basket right next to the door so all I had to do was reach in and grab it. Everything was going smoothly until I turned to walk away and completely ran into someone. I dropped the basket and clothes flew everywhere. As I fell I heard someone squeal; when I recovered I looked to see who I ran into and was stunned. A girl was sitting on the floor looking at me. Her long legs stretched out in front of her, blonde hair pulled up into a bun on top her head, and she wore a short frilly pink dress. I scrambled over to her and reached my hand out to help her up.
“I’m so sorry that was all my fault. Are you okay?” the girl surprised me by laughing. Once she was back on her feet she smiled at me. I noticed that her blue eyes sparkled in amusement.
“I’m fine.” She said while she dusted herself off. “Oh, all the laundry got spilled.” She bent over and picked up a garment. “Ah… do you wear girl’s clothes?”
“What?” I asked not really hearing the question she asked. “Oh no the laundry’s not mine. I’m doing a friend a favor.” I started picking up the laundry and throwing it into the basket. She put the last few pieces and I picked up the basket. "Thanks for helping me after I knocked you down. My names Jaq.“ The girl smiled and shook my hand.
"I’m Lottie. It’s nice to meet you.” We started walking down the hall together. "So how did you get roped into doing your girlfriend’s laundry?“ I smiled. I knew she was fishing.
"The owners of this laundry are not my friends nor my girlfriends. I’m doing my friend a favor, this is her sister’s laundry.”
“Oh, so the girl you’re doing the favor for is your girlfriend?” I smiled
“No, she’s more like a sister.”
“Oh, so you don’t have a girlfriend?” I laughed. Lottie smiled and started skipping alongside me as we walked to the laundry room.
