I stood in one of the horse stalls brushing a large white stallion. He’s so tall that I have to stand on a step stool just to brush his back and neck. But even though he’s so big he is one of the sweetest animals I’ve ever met. For the last few months, I have been spending every day I have off here taking care of and riding the horses. A knock sounded on the stall door and I looked over to see Pheo.
“Hey, Cinderella how’s it going?” I smiled at Phoebus as he entered the stall. He housed his own horse in the barn so we spent a lot of time together when I was here.
“How’s our boy doing?” Phoebus asked as he patted the horse’s nose. Major sniffed Phoebus’s shirt and started nibbling at the pocket until he was given the little sugar cube that was in there. I laughed
“He’s such a pig. I just fed him four sugar cubes and now he’s asking for more.” Phoebus chuckled
“More like demanding it.” Major tried to stick his nose in Phoebus’s pocket. I smiled at Phoebus. He’s a good guy, good looking too with his golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. He’s tall, almost a head taller than me with a muscled, tanned body. How do I know this? Sometimes he likes to work with his shirt off and no one said I couldn’t look.
“Are you going to go for a ride today?”
“Yes, I think so. What do you think Major?” The horse rubbed his nose at me and I smiled. “I’ll take that as a yes.” Pheo helped me settle Major and I headed out. I love to ride. Letting the wind beat agents you. The freedom you get from it, it’s like no one can touch you. I feel like I can go anywhere. We galloped through the grounds of the school going all the way to the forest line before turning around.
