I jumped when someone spoke to me. I hadn’t realized anyone was there, when I turned around I was even more surprised to find Charming standing there with worry in his eyes.

“What? No. I’m fine. Why are you sneaking up on me?”

“I wasn’t sneaking up on you.” I nodded and tried to side step him so I could leave, but he blocked me with his arm. “Are you sure you’re okay? I saw what happened.” Panic flowed through me. I can’t believe he saw that. Not wanting him to see how upset I was I kept looking away from him but his gaze was on me. “One day Cinderella, one day.” He said and shook his head. I took that moment to bolt. I ran as fast as I could out of the barn.
