A father and a son walk along a moonlit beach, the waves make a hushed sound as to let the world in its entirety hear what the older man had to say.
“We are tiny compared to the universe and stars that fill it. Those stars above can seem so tiny but they are merely far away.” The boy put on a confused face, scrunching it up like he was about to implode from confusion
“That doesn’t really make sense all that much.”
“Like how that big boulder seems small from here but when you get closer it becomes much larger.”
“Oh I get it so it’s like how a plane is small, but that is because it’s very high.”
“Yes, same with the stars, moon, and even the sun!”
“Really, dad!” The kid yelled with extreme delight.
“Yes, Ty.” The father patted his son on the head.
“One day maybe we’ll reach those faraway stars, moons, and planets, but that will be after my time maybe your time.”
“How am I going to the stars without you dad!” The boy starts to cry, the space between his two front teeth starting to show. He raised his hand and extended his index finger.
“Don’t worry son where ever you go, I’ll always be with you as long as that dream to explore to most outer reaches of space is in you!” He picked up his son to give him a hug and carry him a pointed to the stars.
“Those belong to you, Ty, don’t forget that.” As he said that a star shot above his finger.
