"Mother. I'm scared."
"Don't worry. You'll be safe with me..."
"What if they try to-"
"NO! Don't you start thinking like that. They will not...You will not..."
"Mother!"
Another memory washed over the boy's mind. If this kept up he would not be able to go on any longer.
Half way. The tree at the end of the meadow was why he had sacrificed his life to get here. He was lucky enough to get through the park alive. That park is the death phantom's lair. Perished bodies are the phantom's favourite. Twisted faces of fear, lifeless eyes and ear-piercing screams would have echoed all round, causing people to dive into the safety of their homes. Thank goodness the wolves had went away or he'd be next.
He stopped. The tree was just metres away, waiting to welcome the familiar foreigner. Nothing could stop him for meeting his destiny. No one could object for him going a few steps to freedom and safety. Slowly and carefully, the anxious adolescence took his freedom with pride, letting his heart lead the way rather than his brain.

"I'm so proud of you."
"You are?"
"Of course. You've come a long way and became so strong and independent."
"I'm happy I found you."
"Me too...Noah."
