"Air- Airib- AIRIBONE!" Maila struggled to get Airibone's attention. Airibone looked up at her innocently. "Ya, what's up?" Maila let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. "We should get back right now. Like, asap-right now." Maila finished, Airibone nodding slowly. "Yes, but" Airibone added, "I have a request." Maila rolled her eyes. "Can... I... bring, ... this flower?" She asked slowly, tilting her head at the gleaming plant behind her.
"Oh, what? Ya, ya sure. Of course you can." Maila answered, thinking it would be something way more complicated, stumbling over the uncharacteristic simplicity of the question. Airibone smiled, uprooting the massive flower from the ground. Maila rolled her eyes again, smiling this time, as she walked back towards the edge of the forest. Airibone hurried behind her, struggling to carry the flower with her front arms and mouth, walking on her hind legs. She looks so ridiculous right now, Maila thought with a quiet snort of laughter.
Maila stopped right as she exited the forest, watching as her friends just began to wake up. Airibone bumped into her and began to watch as well. They leaned into each other, hoping for approval.
