So jump a few years forward from those last few stories to Worst Year(2017), where my buds were gathering for another one shot RP campaign in.... Shadowrun!
Now Shadowrun, as briefly as I can describe it, is D&D set in a futuristic, cyber punk-y world where, at least from my experience from it, it play as mercenaries, gang leaders, etc... Seedy people. It's also got one of the..... most complicated character generation phases I've ever been through!(made just a bit easier with this app thing and a pdf copy of the manual) And after 2 or 3 hours later, I created my silly, magic hackerman, Soft Serve! ....I actually forgot his real name, that's what the party nicknamed him, you'll know why in a bit!

Soft Serve is an elven hacker and, of course, a technomancer, who lives and conducts all his hackerman buisiness.... inside of a kitted out Icecream truck. He also speaks Uto Aztecan for no real reason, because it never ever came in handy, except maybe for coding and making up greetings and old Aztecan proverbs that may or may not have existed.

....I'm sorry, my brain blanked out on the beginning. =_= I am terrible at remembering these. Cliff notes! Party was tasked completing this deal, deal goes sour, there was a gas trap that nearly killed us and we had to leave the building, unknown gang dude destroyed Z's car while trying to kill us, Z's all "WTF??", A's all "Let's track them down ang get vengeance", I speak in Aztecan, we go sleuthing and it takes us to a bar, Z uses diplomacy, diplomacy fails, bar fight.

So the one time I actually get to do some hacking I turn a poor man's soul into an app, and then start playing Ghost in the Shell's "Inner Universe" on my phone, because it's the only appropriate thing to play at this moment.
