I know a lot of us readers are focusing on Tobias here, but my thoughts are going toward Rudolph. Not only has he exposed what he was trained to think and say at home, but this event has also revealed Mr. Edburt in front of Rudy. What will he think and say about this? Will Tobias push Rudolph away from him more because of this? Has Emilio been in the background this whole time? Will Tobias ever start to remember just what he does? If he does, would he actually harm himself or get somebody to harm him to try to "get what he deserves"? Oh, Lord… What is Tobias's father going to do to him? He's already branded him– what could possibly come next? On the first day, he merely creeped everybody out with going around and talking to himself and occasionally grabbing somebody. Now he's gotten close to Mr. Edburt using his body for sexual assault. I don't even want to imagine the punishment that is in the fate of Tobias now.
Yeah, so I haven't forgotten about Tobias…
By the way, you did an amazing job with capturing the emotion of this entire scene. Tobias's corruption, his apologies, Rudolph's (what seems to be) confliction, and Carmelo's aggression out of fear were displayed well here. Well done! Keep up the good work.
Tobias Schneien is a boy of 15 who's been homeschooled his whole life until now. Raised in a church in the woods with his many siblings, tentative mother, and religious father, he is wrought with severe paranoia of being in public with peers by himself. His only comfort here are the voices in his head, the blade in his hands, and his god.
Until he meets an odd boy who shows him just how fun being a devil can be and life falls into a place Tobias feels he can't escape.
Even if he wanted to.
And remember! If you don't like it, you neither have to read it nor comment on it! It's dark as shit and contains sensitive topics so read at your own risk. It only gets darker as you go.
This is NOT for children.
I put maturity warnings over episodes that definitely warrant one. Do not ask me to put warnings on everything.
This is your warning.
Take your time. Stop reading if you're too uncomfortable. Check in with yourself and make sure you're okay enough to read. This is not for everyone.
