Behind the scenes: Kelpie

Hey! You guys asked for concept art so here is some of Kelpie's design evolution. My style has definitely changed quite a bit since I started writing back in 2013-ish (?) I think her earlier designs are neat but something I've learned is that it's best to keep characters simple if you're going to be drawing them over and over and over again in multiple panels - I think that's why I probably ditched her tattoo? It would have been a detail that I'd have to replicate each time and it would have taken too long. (Although obviously characters with tattoos are soooo cool hehe) If you have any questions about Kelpie's design or story then please leave a comment below! Thanks so much for the support!
