it's because i am too intimidated by making my own work. and i dont think things through.
because of that i avoid making comics.
but guess what?
i started a breath of the wild au comic today just for shits and giggles because i thought the idea was cute and not only did i get 13 thumbnails done, i also got 2 pages done and a chapter cover all in one day.
(the comic is too big for tapas and it is copyrighted material so you can read what i have so far here: https://thechampionsofold.tumblr.com/post/172710618318/child-of-the-forest-au-chapter-one )
and like i got a lot done. sometimes it was hard to make one page a week with an original comic because i didnt have much to work with.
with a fan comic i basically got all of the world building and characters layed out for me and they are my play-dough ready for molding while with original stories it is more like having to make homemade play-dough first and half the time on the fly.
i feel like if i go ham on worldbuilding someday and basically make 1000 ref sheets i can make comics a lot easier and more stress free.
so honestly, this was kinda eye opening and i feel like for once, i might actually be able to make a full series... once i figure out what to do that is.
wow. it's been just about a year since starlight kingdom and look at me now.
i now actually can plan comics and make stuff.
hell, maybe this next comic will be slightly tied with my first one.
i'll do my best to make content that i can be proud of, see yall later this month!
