Marinette just went home. She knew she should've called her dad for a ride, but she decided to walk. After she got home she was scolded but convinced her dad she felt well enough to walk. She sat up in her room sketching. It was almost time for her to go to bed when she heard a knock at her window. She looked our, surprised to see blonde hair and glowing green eyes, topped with black cat ears. "Chat Noir?!"
"What are you doing here?" Marinette asked, letting him in. "Just dropped by to see how my purrincess was doing?" Ha said with a crooked grin. Marinette just rolled her eyes at his pun. "Princess? Where did you get that?" She asked jokingly. "You know, because the knight in shining armor saves the princess. In this case, you." He said, flexing as to show off. "You mean knight in shining leather?" She said half amused as she poked his costume. He just shrugged and winked at her. Marinette watched as Chat's joking expression turned into a serious and concerned one. She already knew what he was about to say. "Marin-"Chat started, but before he could finish his question, he was cut off. "Don't ask." Chat figured she was probably tired of being asked the same question. After all, he himself had already asked her once as Adrien. But he needed to know, it was eating him alive. Hoping to catch her off guard, he snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her close. Marinette looked at him surprised. Chat placed his free hand under her chin so he could look at her in the eye's. "Mari..." He said softly. "Please." Marinette looked at his serious face. It was a look she'd never seen on him before. She sighed in defeat and told him of the boy.
Chat and Marinette had moved to her chase by the time she finished telling him the whole story. (Aside from being ladybug.) Chat was amused, "Is something funny?" Marinette asked defensively. "Huh? oh, no. It just..you're so brave. It takes guts to do that. It's really admirable." Marinette shrugged at his words as she smiled. "It's nothing compared to what you do every time there's an akuma attack." She said teasingly. "You mean what Ladybug does." Chat sighed at the thought of his Lady.

Chat sighed at the thought of his Lady, but Marinette just looked at him confused. Chat saw this and blushed. He scratched the back of his head. "You know, because Ladybugs the hero. I'm just a sidekick. She amazing." Marinette gave Chat a hug which surprised him. "Don't say things like that. You too are a team. Even so, your the strongest out of the two. You take more hits than Ladybug and always seem to smile through it. I don't know how-" Marinette felt herself tear up. 'What? Why am I crying?' She wondered as tears started to trickle from her eyes and onto Chat's leather costume though she tried to hold them back. Chat shocked and Marinette could feel his body tense. Then it relaxed again and he started to stroke the back of her head. Once she had her emotions back under control she stepped back and wiped her eyes. "S-sorry. I don't even know what that was." Marinette felt ashamed and hung her head. Chat held her face in his hand and looked at her. After a moment Marinette started to speak with a sudden smile on her face. "Anyways," She said, clapping her hands and turning away. "Would you like something to eat? I'm starving." Marinette hoped to change the subject. Realizing this, Chat dropped it and let his trademark grin cross his face.
They hung out a talked for a while until Chat said he had to start heading home. He tucked Marinette into bed and disappeared out her window.
