That next morning Alya woke up Marinette. "Don't want you skipping again. Come on!" The two girls laughed together. Marinette somehow managed to hide her injuries from Alya, who just rambled on about Ladybug. Marinette rolled her eyes at her friend. The two girls were walking to school in no time. "New record Marinette. You go girl." Alya said. Marinette was laughing lightly when she saw a black cat-like figure on a roof. Chat Noir. Their eyes met and Marinette's smile faded into guilt. The look and Chat Noir's face was so sad, it was like an arrow through her heart. It hurt her to see him like that, and she knew it was her fault. Their eyes dropped and he ran off. "Hey girl what's wrong?" Alya said looking at the roof Her friend had been staring at. "Oh! N-nothing. It's fine." Alya just raised an eyebrow at her.
Soon the girls reached the school. That day went on like any other. The day ended before Marinette even knew it. "Het Moron-ette!" "What do you want Akuma-causer." Alya snipped. Marinette waved her down. "Please, don't provoke her." Marinette whispered to her friend. "What do you want Chloe?" "Nothing much. I heard you got attacked by a perv yesterday." Marinette's eyes widened in shock. "No sh-" "How..." The two friends spoke at the same time. "Marinette?" Alya looked at her in shock. "Marinette's head dropped for a moment, then lifted ask she spoke. "H-How did you know that?" Marinette knew people were staring. Chloe always did try to gather a crowd. She grabbed her arm as if that would protect her. "I have my sources. They also told me that you begged for it. Even asked him to meet again as long as it stayed a secret. Slut." Chloe circled the lone girl like a shark as she spoke. Marinette's head shot up. "That's a lie!" "A lie huh? Your right. I was just testing you. A bad test too. I mean who would want you? Even a perverted stalker was chased away by your hideousness." Marinette stayed silent as she tried not to cry. She couldn't handle this. Not now. "How would you even know that?" She asked shamefully. Chloe laughed at the sight of Marinette. "I'm the mayor's daughter. I have access to traffic cams. Come, I'll show you." Marinette foolishly followed the blonde haired girl into an empty classroom. Chloe turned on a projector. The two girls sat in that empty room, watching Marinette get thrown into an alley and stepped on. Their classmates crowded outside the windows. Her friend's were front row. Adrian, who had been trying to open the door, froze as he watched. By the time the video was over, Marinette hung her head in shame, holding the tears that threatened her eye's. Adrien was pissed and tried the door again. 'Maybe Chat could-' No good, Adrien couldn't move. "Oh." Chloe spoke again. "We apprehended him for you though. Wanna see?" Before Marinette could speak, Chloe started a video of him be interrogated.
*But officer, I didn't do anything to the girl. I mean, why would I? I may be a bit desperate, but I'm not so hopeless I'd stoop to that. Did you see her. That was one ugly chick*
That was all Chloe showed. Marinette just sat there. She was void of anything. She didn't say anything. What could she say? "Awe. Did the truth hurt the little girl." Chloe laughed evilly. "Whatever. I would say go cry to you mom, but I don't even think she cares if you're around." Chloe closed the blinds to the classroom and walked out a side door laughing as she made her get way. She locked the door behind her, sealing Marinette inside.
Eventually a teacher came and shooed all of the students away. Adrian's father had already ordered him to leave a while ago. The gorilla had to come get him though. Some students tried to tell them about Marinette, but they wouldn't hear a word. It wasn't until night she heard the door open.
Chat was a little surprised to find that Marinette hadn't move a muscle since he was last there as Adrian. She was lost in thought, still holding back tears. "Mari? Are you okay?" Thinking he was still mad at her Marinette didn't say a thing. She let him guide her home. The walk was quiet and solemn. What could be said? They both just walked silently. Marinette stopped at one point. Where she'd been attacked. She looked into the alley. 'That was one UGLY chick.' Marinette flinched as the words echoed in her mind. Chat understandingly gestured for her to follow. "Come on Mari." He spoke gently. His voice seemed to calm Marinette down a bit, but just a bit. Chat picked Marinette up and brought her in her room through her balcony. "You gonna be okay?" He asked softly. Marinette nodded and Chat left.
"Marinette?" Tikki asked, worried. Marinette spoke softly, her voice laced with pain. "Tikki. Spots on."
