730 years after "the Downfall of Osraige" (a conflict between men and werewolves in Celtic Ireland) in a village called Hawkshead a grave danger lurks in the shadows. For various years there've been cases of death at the claws of wolves, one of which left a gruesome mark on the village hunter's daughter, Anne. A growing resistance against the wolves emerges with Anne and her father spearheading the effort alongside a secretive character whose origin nobody knows.
