Water. All around, no matter where one turned. The water was rushing, convulsing into something malicious. The sea was unparalleled; untamed. Without her knowledge, and without her consent, no man could receive her remittances. A selective breed is she. Where one man finds his dinner, another finds his death. How cruel and cold. She has good days. A beautiful blue with the sun dazzling off the surface like diamonds. Days happen often where the sea is a brilliantly viridescent color; akin to a shifting forest. Other days, however, she is a fearsome beast. Charcoal black; an inescapable void ready to swallow all light and life. More dangerous than she, is what lies beneath. Ancient creatures with nothing to their existence except revenge. Revenge for their mother, the sea, who gave birth to all living things. To be plundered and harbored upon without mercy, no such sin can go unpunished. As the waves crash against the shore, only those who hide can survive. The ocean has given life and she is ready to take it at any given moment. Untamed is she now and untamed she shall remain.
