First off, I must apologise to you guys for the really low frequency of updates lately. (And I've only drawn one page in like 3 months? I'm so sorry guys! ;_;) It's a combination of a lot of factors that made me choose to go on a hiatus for this comic. Basically, I'm unable to keep myself working on more than one series at a time. The situation I have now is different from 2+ years ago when I didn't have much work to do apart from drawing comics. Now that I have other commitments and commissions to work on, this does not leave me much time to draw stuff for fun. My wrist has also been giving me problems so that just reduces my drawing time further.
So now, I'm going to focus on completing The Masked Henchman before I go back to working on The Ogre Cook. As you can probably see from the art, The Masked Henchman is easier to draw and therefore much quicker to draw pages for. (It's also been gaining popularity over at Line Webtoons and it'd be a huge missed opportunity if I don't capitalise on it.) I'm actually over halfway through the series, and I'd say it'll take me about a year to complete The Masked Henchman if I can keep up with 2 episodes a month.
This unfortunately means that The Ogre Cook will be on hiatus for about a year. Hopefully when I get back to drawing The Ogre Cook, I'll be a better artist and will be able to make pages better and faster. (I hope)
Thank you all for your support for The Ogre Cook thus far. Really sorry it had come to this, and that I had to stop at such an odd place in the story. o_o;; I should be back to working on it next year, hopefully! In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy reading The Masked Henchman.
A traveller approaches an ogre fortress and asks to stay the night in the ogre cook's kitchen. There, the ogre cook recounts his experiences to the traveller.
This story will be about 80+ pages long and reads from left to right. Updates monthly.
