So one thing I wanted to take off the table pretty early in the story was any chance of Jessica accidently teleporting into a wall or the floor. So I wanted to introduce this idea of a safety system into the tech that she was working on.
I really didn't want to have something THAT drastic happen to her where she would lose an arm or a leg. Although there are risks with what she is experimenting on.
