Okay I was waiting to comment so I could leave a better comment, but if you want help with the grammar:
I'm not sure whether 'thereat' is a name of a group or place, or if you're saying 'there at,' but I think it should be "I'm the only one who left thereat alive"
The others are easier, just a couple places missing words or with them switched.
"I don't remember how many of us there were"
"Usually groups of 5-10 people go into the forest" (or "went into" for past tense)
"However, satyrs hadn't been seen in many years. Some people* even said they all died out" (*you can use a synonym like 'folks' or something, too, but 'others' doesn't really work)
"We weren't hunters, we went to pick brushwood and dig pitfalls"
"Everyone was creeping about on tiptoe so satyrs* wouldn't hear us" (*also works with 'the satyrs')
That said, it's all readable, so you don't have to rush to edit or anything.
