Now, think about you childhood

As far back as you can remember

I think I'll need you to go back to sometime between pre-k and 5th grade

How did you act? Like a regular 5-year-old?

Were you homeschooled or public?

How did your parents treat you?

How did you treat your parents?

Or other adults or kids?

Nice, I hope

Like in the movies, tv shows, and books

You'd go to your parents and smile up to them like a little angel

You'd kindly ask if you could have a freshly-baked cookie or to go play with the other kids

You'd be the perfect little child

But that's the movies, tv shows, and books

This is reality

The only person who knows the truth would be your parents and you

Kids today back-talk their parents

Parents today won't teach their kids better

Do you remember the story about that black kid who pulled a gun on a cop?

People started complaining over the cops actions to defend himself

Do you remember the story about the black 14-year-old who was killed, his body burnt, and then thrown away in a dumpster?

He was smart kid with straight A's and was going to try out for the swim treat

His mother started to go public on the fact that some kid who pulled a gun on a cop while they ignored what happened to her child

The one with the gun kinda deserves what he got

Because he wasn't properly and, pointed a gun at a cop

The straight A kid didn't deserve what happened to him

Yet he was ignored

Why?

Imma bring up my first question

Whatever you called them

Now that I've brought in those two kids

Can you see the relations?

Another thing,

We show all the good that whites do and the bad that blacks do

Usually we think of white as purity and good

Usually we think of black as tainted and bad

Why?

Because as much as we've evolved from when we first came here to now, our habits and the way we treat others haven't

Blacks were slaves and beaten down upon while whites claimed themselves as the 'powerful being' you could say

Why?

I will continue to ask

I want an answer

Don't just sit there and act like you don't know

I know you do

I do too

There are a few answers

But I want to hear one

Cause no one's saying anything

Racism

Differences

We beat on opposites

Physically and mentally

We want things to be our own ways

Greedy

Self centered

Anything that goes with those two words

And there's a lot of them

I hope you've come to realize the problem I've spoken about

If you do something about it or not, that's your choice

Keep in mind that most people think it'll just get done by someone else

Kicking the problem down the line until someone picks it up and takes care of

Another problem of course

And another choice if you want to do something about it or not
