What’s a hero?

Is it someone who can fly like superman?

Or someone with incredible strength like the Hulk or Thor even?

Is it someone with extreme tech gear like Iron Man?

Or is it someone with cool powers like what a mutant has?

What if I’m walking down the street,

and I drop my phone without notice,

and someone returns me my phone?

How about,

when I’m walking down the street,

and I see a homeless person shivering from the cold?

What would I do?

Wait for an Avenger to come?

Or wait for the X-men to arrive?

What we don’t understand,

Is that heroes don’t need superpowers or super smarts to be a super person

I mean, seriously

Look around you

The person sitting right next to you could be a hero

They probably did something to help others

Human or animal, or even plant

You don’t need anything special to be a hero

All you need,

Is the kindness in your heart,

And the will to do the hard work

Let me ask you this,

If you see a homeless person shivering from the cold,

What would you do?

Most just don't pay attention,

They just walk by like they aren't even there

Some would give them money,

so they can go get some food or buy some clothes that will keep them warm

I’ll tell you what I’d do

I’d go to the store,

buy them a blanket,

and maybe even some cloths,

then I’d go back to that person,

and give it to them

Now what am I?

Just a little bit ago I was another person walking down the street

But now,

Now I’m a hero

I did something to help another

I used my time and money to help that other

I did it because it’s right

I did it because I wanted too

I did it so I could go to sleep,

knowing I did something to make someone else’s life better

All from one good deed

You do not need superpowers or super smarts to be a superhero

All you need,

is the kindness in your heart,

and the will to do the hard work

Then you could go to sleep,

knowing you did something to help the problem,

instead of ignoring it

If you look around you,

What do you see?

A friend?

A foe?

A fellow classmate?

A stranger?

Tell me,

What do you see?

Cause all I see,

Is a world full of heroes...
