A fellow shipmate’s warning shout snapped the captain out of his trace: the other ship was closing in quickly despite the cannons still firing, clearly intent on ramming its burning hull against them; a lightning before death. The captain wasn’t the only one unnerved. Even the most experienced crew knew this wouldn’t be an easy battle.
