"So, What time is Dinner?" Anna asked as she placed some of her clothes in the dresser. Claire reached back pulling out her cell phone where along with the time was a missed call. Claire cleared her throat and answered " It's at six. So we have an hour or so before we need to go downstairs." Anna let out a breath and said: " Thanks, I'm going to take a shower." Claire gave a soft smile before saying "Ok, I'm going to head outside real quick. I got to make a phone call." Anna nodded and made her way to the bathroom. Claire closed the bedroom door before heading downstairs and slipping out the front door.
She unlocked her phone before pressing redial. She waited to listen as it rang. Suddenly, She heard a click which made her smile.
"Claire."
"Hey, Handsome."
"Hey, How's the place?"
"It's ok. The people I've met are nice but it is kind of creepy. You have to see the front yard. The Munster's would be proud but the bedroom they gave me is beautiful."
"That's nice."
"What about you? How's the Family Cabin?" Claire heard movement before he answered " Good, It's raining down here. So, We've been staying inside mostly. Claire...I need to talk to you about something."
Claire's stomach dropped at the seriousness of his tone. She gripped the cellphone a bit tighter. "James, What is it?" She asked her voice a little shaky in fear and nervousness. There was silence over the phone before she heard a loud sigh. There was another moment she could hear the sound of movement.
"He wants to dump you, Claire." Her blood went cold at the sound of her step-sister. Claire covered her mouth as she felt sick. "He wanted to tell you that he's bored of you. Which I'm surprised about. I thought that maybe your mother would teach you to please a man." Amanda laughed.
"AMANDA, THAT'S ENOUGH!" James yelled before Claire once again heard movement.
"Claire....I-I"
"I can't forgive you." Tears glide slowly down the side of her face. She bit her lip and tried to swallow back the anger. " I hope the both of you are happy." She growled before hanging up the phone. She let out a frustrated scream before throwing her cell phone. She hugged herself as she began to cry. How could she had been so stupid to believe he was any different from all the others. Claire had meet James during her second year of high school and He had been kind and sweet. He had been there through the difficult times. Had he been there to see Amanda's ways
How long had Amanda and Him been together? How couldn't I've not known?
The shrill sound of her cell phone caused her to look up. She sighed realizing the stupidity of her action. She would need her cell phone. Claire let out a sigh before walking down the pathway. She could see her phone in the distance, the screen glowing brightly in the low light of the day. It was by a large fence. She moved quickly wanting to get back into the house and just go to sleep. She jogged towards the fence and quickly picked up her phone. She dusted off the dirt and bits of grass that littered along the back. Claire let out a sigh before putting the phone back into her pocket. It was then that she caught sight of something moving behind the fence. She squinted her eyes trying to catch a better look. She couldn't see the person's face but The figure was incredibly tall and dressed in bright white robes.
She watched as they ran deeper into the property. Claire should have gone straight back to the house and told Arnold about the person she saw but instead. Instead, Curiosity got the better of her. She walked up to the gate of the fence and unhooked the latch. The fence gate made a loud creak of protest as she entered. Claire couldn't help but the gap at the Vast difference in appearance from the house and here. The grass was much greener and short here then back near the house. There were large bushes that were neatly trimmed lined along the path and some sprouted beautiful flowers. Claire couldn't help but touch one and feel the soft smoothness of the petals. "These are beautiful." She thought. Her mother would have a field day in this place.
Clank! The sound caused Claire to jump and her mind to return back to her curiosity. The ran along the path till she came to the pathway she saw the white rob figure go down. This pathway was also gated but instead of an iron fence, a large limestone wall stood in its place with a large wooden door along that door stood a greek symbol. Claire couldn't help but run her finger along it. It was cold and smooth as well as gorgeous, a masterpiece of metal work. Claire pulled her hand slowly from the symbol to the metal handle. She pushed down before slowly opening the door.
The night before was the marvelous and beautiful creation of Greek Archetuire and Design. Greek Gardens are known for there desire for the Harmony between Nature and man. This makes the structures within the garden intwine with the plants giving it the vision of Harmony. Even the steps leading into the garden had the feel of beautiful plants along the sides. Claire looked down and inspected the stairs to find them carrying depictions of grass and trees. The path below it was straight gravel and along the sides were planets that held a kind of silvery color to them. In between each planet was a column that supported a Vase depicting a young woman. But unlike Normal Roman and Greek Vases which were colorless and depicted a story. This showed only a young woman with a blue dress standing her eyes covered but in her hands that were raised above her was what looked to be a depiction of a star.
Nos Liberate
Claire turned and clutched her ear. It felt as though someone had stood directly behind her and whispered into her ear. The Garden was empty but as she stood searching, she could not help but feel as though someone was here with her.
Et venit videns. Et venit.
Claire gasped as she felt it again step back and away from the vase. A loud clank caused her to turn and catch sight of the person as they ran into a fatted archway. She chased after yelling " Wait." She pulled open the iron gate and rushed in. The Archway lead into a tunnel long and wide lit only by candlelight.
"Oh, Please don't let me be murder. Please don't let me be murder." She chanted as she ran down the tunnel. She came to a solid iron door that frightened her. As on the middle of the door stood the face of a woman whose face was caught between a transformation it seems between snake and man. Claire swallowed and was about to turn back when she heard movement behind the door. She reached taking the handle and then pushed down then out. The Door opened with an annoying creak and Claire's breath was taken away from what laid inside. Marble statues at least 8 ft tall stood in the room side by side at least 2 feet apart in various positions as well as gender and species and each was masterful done inside a large room. She couldn't stop her self as she walked up to one in particular. He stood at the very end of the hall on stone stage. He was posed looking down a spear in his left hand while a shield laid in the other. He wore a toga thar was wrapped around his body and middle, it seemed. Claire was mesmoraized as walked passed the other statues and up the stairs towards him. stopped looking at him, he was a masterpiece indeed. He had a strong jaw long and a beautiful roman nose titled as though the artist wanted to show that it had been broken at a time. She reached touching his face before moving her hand slowly down feeling in indentations created by the artist. "He feels almost feel." She thought as she ran her hand down his arm. He was cold as ice and hard, Yes but she couldn't help but notice how it almost didn't feel real.
" HEY! What are you doing here?!"
