Dr. Lee.
But I just call him Doc.
It's a better nickname than what other's give him around here. He looks young for a doctor. Plus, he's a bit... strange, I'll give him that.
And recently, I think he figured out I can comprehend life in general. He's been more careful around me, and explains everything to me, even if I just sit there, wanting him to go away.
I don't like him, he makes me feel weird.
I looked at the black framed clock: 5:38pm They should be coming to my cell any moment now to take me to the cafeteria.
I'm fucking starving.
Yeah, I know- I'm boring. But lately I've been having an appetite, I'm not sure why. We're not even allowed to grab seconds. So... I lurk around and see who's gonna throw something away, and grab it. I can't help it.
The door begins to turn. Hey you- don't make a sound!
I tried to stay still as well, even holding my breath, as if that's going to make a difference. I look up and noticed it wasn't someone to take me to the cafeteria.
It was Doc.
"My office," Doc said, as he leaned by the door.
Ugh, I don't want to talk right now. I fucking want food.
I looked away, pretending I didn't notice.
Doc squatted besides me and makes eye contact; his icy blue eyes pierced right into me.
"I got food from The Outside, but if you don't want any-" Doc stood up.
"W-wait," I hastily replied. Crap. Way too fast.
Fucking, crap.
I looked up at Doc and saw him smiling.
"After you," Doc sang as he motioned me to get up. I obeyed and got up, and followed him to his side.
He opened the heavy wooden door with his key. As we walked outside, he greeted some security guards and nurses.
Don't look at me like that, I know it can be a trap or something. I just haven't tasted any food from the outside world, and I just couldn't stop myself.
Don't you fucking roll your eyes at me-
Doc opened the door to his office and sat down on his chair; there was a piles of... stuff? In plastic...?
"Come, sit." Doc said as he pulled containers out of the bag; I looked around.
Doc looked around for a sec. "If you're worried that someone might see you here, fear not. I already had let them know you were going to be under my care for one hour, and they won't bother us."
I slyly sat on the chair. Doc opened one of the containers and out it in front of me; my stomach began growling.
"What... is that?" I asked as my mouth watered.
"Chinese takeout," he replied, passing me a fork.
I grabbed the fork with my left hand.
"Your left handed?" Doc asked and he opened a container for himself.
Oh, I forgot.
I moved the fork to my right hand.
"No, no, it's fine. Eat the way you feel comfortable." he said as he took a bite out of his food.
I moved the fork back to my left hand, grabbed the shinny ball of meat, and put it in my mouth. My eyes became watery.
"Hey, what's wrong," Doc said as he stared at me, "You don't like it?"
"I. I love it," I managed to say, but my throat felt so tight.
"You're crying cause you liked it?" Doc blinked a few times and burst out laughing, "I'll bring you more food from The Outside, I promise. If I knew you liked food that much, I would of brought you some sooner." Doc half smiled.
We sat there eating in silence. I couldn't eat too much. It was hurting my stomach.
"What. What do you need?" I asked.
People aren't nice for no reason. I might have spend most of my life here, and even I know that.
"Cutting to the chase?" Doc leaned back to his chair; he looked at the clock- 10 minutes until Rasmus has to go back to his cell.
"It's complicated," Doc bite his lip, "But just remember that I know. And I won't tell."
I looked at Doc suspiciously.
"I promise," Doc added, "I have to take you back to your cell-"
"I hate the cell."
"Why?"
I felt unease; I know I can't tell him.
Doc sighed. "Well I can't help if you don't tell me. But it's alright. I know you don't even trust me yet." Doc got up and began walking out of his office, I quickly followed and walked by his side.
Doc grabbed his key, opened my door, and we walked in.
"Thanks, Doc." I said under my breath; Doc smiled.
"Behave. Don't get into trouble," he whispered as he pat my head, "Please."
I sat down and watched Doc leave.
I still don't like him, he makes me feel fucking weird.
The only person I can trust is You, right?
