here's an oldie!
I made this about 2 or 3 years ago for my friend as an overseas birthday present, he'd just left the Netherlands after studying here for a year. it's simply a comic about the first time we hung out one on one together.
also, it's all set in the centre of Amsterdam, if you've been there then maybe you'll recognise some places!
it's a bit grainy since it's scans and I lost the higher quality files. also, written with a ballpoint pen, so at some points the text might be harder to read. (like 'foreigner' looking like 'foreigiver')
more story time?
I wanted to do a series of stories like this; first dates, first times hanging out with my close friends (like this one) <let's call those 'dates' too; 'friend-dates'. but I never really did.
maybe it's a shame, because man, did I have awkward/fun/funny first dates. (here's some I wrote out and it's stupid but I spent too much time in them to delete it already. will delete later.)
I once had a first date where I, because of a class being cancelled, was confused in the time and got to the cinema an hour early. but; I was convinced it was an hour later than it actually was. I got kinda paranoid, thinking he'd stood me up and I was so distressed. then he arrived and we watched a bad horror movie and had bubble tea or something.
I also once went on a first date with a girl to a high tea for two (us!). she was super impressed that I'd already made a reservation (which I'd done that morning when I'd 'gone to the bathroom', since I was already hanging out with her at school), heh, I felt kinda grown up and cool at that moment. we fought about paying the bill. I won, so then she bought me a little piggie bank in return, which is now filled with our photos and notes and stuff and neatly tucked away somewhere under a closet. *insert crying*

My God, I have so much to say about everything. What you drew, what the story was about, what you said in the description. I dunno where to begin...buuuut, I'll just leave my thoughts be. I don't wanna suffocate you with a butt-ton of stuff you'd probably wouldn't have time to respond to.
Heh, just know that it was nice reading, and I adore your narration, your backgrounds, everything. I wish this wasn't my last month of support. Your worth every dollar. I'll always support you in spirit though!
