7:30 in the morning, a Thursday getting ready to leave school. I check around my room to make sure I didn't forget anything.

"Ok I got everything"

I walk out my front door and lock it. I put the keys in my bag and start walking off to school.

"Cien!" I turn to see my friend Joshua stupidly smiling and waving to me.

"What do you want this time?" I say reading a book on my smartphone

"You got any plans after school today?" He asks jumping in front of me walking backward.

"No, I don't but if you're going to ask if I want to go somewhere the answer is no" I answer continuing to reading my book.

"Aw come on man there is going to be a lot of cute girls!" Joshua pouts

"I said no Joshua plus you know I'm not into that kind of stuff"

"You know Cien you would be a complete loner without me can't help to hang out with me at least once after school? You don't even let me come over to your house, even more, meet your family"

I stopped walking and looked Joshua straight into his eyes giving him a cold stare.

"I think you should know this by now Joshua since I am your friend. I don't like my family even more seeing them at all."

"Ok fine my bad sorry." Joshua says turning around sulking in place.

I decide to play a small prank and push the back of his knee making him lose balance. I laugh watching him fall then start running.

"Cien you....BRAT" He yells raising his fist chasing after me

I run into my classroom and hide behind a group of boys.

"Hey mind helping me out?" I ask

"Where did he go? I know he ran in here" Joshua says slowly walking and looking around the classroom.

"Joshua do you both have to do this almost every morning? You never find him until break time which is when he is in the classroom" One of the boys say laughing.

"Fine Cien you win again" Joshua yells walking out of the class

I laugh for a split second, showing a small bit of emotion. After that one second, I stop laughing, thinking about what may happen if I show any more emotion. My smile fades as I look over to the group of boys that protected me.

"Thanks again guys he just never knows when to give up" I fist bump all of them and walk to my seat

The bell rings for class to start. Everyone goes to their seat and sits down.

The day passed by like any other normal day would.

"Cien lets go home together" Joshua says running up next to me.

I silently read a book on my phone as I walk home with Joshua.

Waving by to Joshua I open my door and walk into my room. I place my phone onto the charger and start cooking dinner.

"I'll make sure it's dinner for two" I say cutting up carrots.

"Gee could have said something If you already knew that I was here brother" 

In the corner of my room, a dark figure appears.
