While Elyjah wrought havoc within the city, not too far off the coast was his brother, Ermrik, in his chair at the Belmont estate. His hand covered his eyes as his elbow rested upon the arm of the black leather chair. A trail of red fresh blood slid and ran down the corners of his pressed lips. In front of him on the floor laid a woman with a bloodied shoulder and just barely alive as her breath shallowed. Her eyes still open, filled with fear and pain, she tries to speak but her voice no longer works. If one could read lips they could see that she was begging for death, to end the pain that now filled her body as her red hot life-force had fueled Emrik. But he wasn't covering his face because of what he had done. No, he was deep in thought about what to do with his brother..
What could he do? He knew deep down he couldn't kill him, he'd go with him before this happened. After a few moments, a small peep would come from the woman and Emrik would move his finger to expose a single ice blue hue to look down upon his half-finished meal, the dim light causing it to glow as if one was looking some sort of animal. He slowly got up and grabbed her by the throat. "Do you really wish to die?" His voice was calm, smooth and elegant. "Would you not rather live forever? Be like I am.. Be with me?" His animalistic eye looks straight into the woman's eyes as she weakly holds onto his arm to keep from dying before she utters her last words.
"I'd n-never want to be with you... M-uch less what you are.." Emrik's expression never changes as he speaks once more. "Hmm.. How disappointing.." His grip on her neck would grow more and more. The tighter he got the more she'd struggle until a loud crack would echo through the quiet dim room, then her lifeless corpse fell to the floor. Emrik would drop his hand down and look over to the window as a familiar would rush in to dispose of the corpse. "Feed her to the dogs.." The familiar nods "Yes M'Lord.." and then drags the corpse away.
His gaze would stay out the window, but something made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. "Why must you hide in the shadows.. And what happened to knocking?" Soon after a figure would come from the shadows and politely bowed to him. It was one of the council's familiars. "My apologies, But the council requires you to meet with them." Emrik would rub the bridge of his nose with his fingers and go to speak, but before he could, the familiar would tell him that it had to do with his brother. Emrik looks at him for a moment and then nods before grabbing his weapons and slipping on his more battle-ready attire. With that, he then uses his enhanced vampiric speed to rush off to the council. Once he got there, he'd stand in front for the council.
He was nervous of course, as the last time he'd been here he had been asked to become a member, since he and only a few others were the only originals left. But after a few moments of whispers and pleasantries, one finally spoke to him. "We apologize for the interruption of your time, but we must make a request. It seems your brother has made a real mess of things in the human world.. and even the world of other races. We must ask you.. before we take the matters into our own hands. If you don't want your last living blood relative to die... Capture him. Otherwise...Elyjah Belmont will be hunted and killed on the spot."
Emrik's eyes closed for but a moment before he looked at them. "I accept. I'll capture my brother. Only if he stays alive." The council would speak to each other for what seemed like hours until they finally spoke up. "Agreed. We will keep your brother under lock and key until we see fit. Now go.." After one of them gave him his brother,s whereabouts, Emrik would slip on his helmet and quickly walk off to find his brother, with a few lessers at his side.
Emrik's eyes would flow through the others that now stood ready around him. The closest four to his right and left were his own personal guard. Ones that he'd trained himself, and wore a silver like armor closely resembling his. As he would look at the others and the members of the resistance, he didn't like this one bit. Having to go take down his own brother. After years of their childhood of protecting one another. It all led to this. Having to fight him, it drove his emotions mad, but he soon locked them away. This was no time to feel sorry. It was this or watch his brother die and he'd much rather he be imprisoned even if it was him who had to drive the dagger through his chest. With this in mind, he'd hold the dagger in question up to look at it. It was a ceremonial dagger with a silver hilt and a blood gem at the end. He looks at it only for a moment before putting it away on his side as one of his men would call out to move forward. And with that, he and the rest would ride on, as others would move quickly to keep up with their fast speeds.
Soon enough they would make it to their destination only to be met with another army. Emrik's eyes would look through the horde and then up at the large structure. He then pulls his blade from its sheath and looks to the rest of them. "KILL THEM ALL!!" His voice would boom out as the others would yell in beastial valor, running past Emrik only to clash into the mindless abominations before them. Emrik soon looked forward and with his superior vampiric strength and speed shot into the air, coming down on top of a group. One wouldn't even have seen his blade move, but as he would land quietly onto the ground each and every single one he'd passed would fall to the ground, their heads sliced clean in two. He'd start moving forward at breathtaking speeds, cutting left and right, not stopping for more than a half second for every few kills as he and his own army would start cutting through the abominations and advance onto the castle. Emrik would keep his senses about him, as there may be lesser vampires among the abominations. But if no one challenged him, he'd keep advancing towards the castle until they made it to the walls. Where he would then look up, only to volt up to the ramparts and open the gate for the rest. His guard with him as he goes. But he would then turn to them
"No, help the rest! My brother is my burden and I'll take him if I must."
They would look at him for a moment and then nod as they would leap off the ramparts down to aid the rest of the resistance.
Emrik would walk slowly for but a moment before suddenly disappearing from view, using his speed to start heading through the castle as quickly as possible. Though he was a vampire he still kept a lookout for any traps that may make things more difficult, but if nothing opposed him he'd soon reach the main hall of the castle.
