“Boring people read books. You must be boring.”
Eli looked up from his book to find a guy sitting high up on the shelves of the grand library. “And fools complain about books. You must be a fool,” Eli shot back.
“Touché,” said the mystery man. He jumped off the shelf and onto a pile of cushions. “That book must be interesting.”
“It is.”
“The name’s Lennox, also known as the sexiest guy in town,” Lennox said.
“Eli.”
“You’re a man of few words aren’t you?” asked Lennox. Eli just grunted and went back to reading his book. Lennox sighed, fluffed up a cushion, and decided to take a nap.
After a while, Eli spoke, “Is there a reason that you’re here? You are quite distracting.”
Lennox smirked, “You just think I’m sexy.”
Eli shut his book and stood up, “I’ll be going on my way. Have fun.” Eli turned around to leave the grand library.
Eli hated leaving the library. It was breathtaking every time he was in it. The library had tall oak shelves filled to the brim with books. Hidden in different areas were soft cushions stuffed with down feathers, perfect for sitting on and reading. He could stay in there forever. Time didn’t exist in the library.
