It was dark and quiet. Though, when he walked, he could see the darkness ripple like water. It didn't cause a sound, though, nothing could.
"Rishi! Rishi!" He heard a voice call out behind him. It was Sally, but when he turned around, the only person standing there was a man, completely dark. He had a face, but no nose, and his eyes were seemingly sewn shut. His mouth was painted on in red, but he did not open it to speak. "Helloo, child. You sseem lonely, don't youuu?" He got closer to Rishi's face. "Youu feel sscared of me, aand yyet, youu recognize that the only thing I am, iss a part of youu."

Milo went into the water. He would go 3 strokes, and then breathe. Then, the giant fish caught sight of him. It wasn't too fast, and Milo was already ahead when he swam to the shore. It jumped out, opening its jaw and then-
"Got it!" Yelled Emilia, spraying fire into its jaw. The fire burnt through it's scales, killing it swiftly. They used one of its scales to cut it up, and then washed sticks to make cooked fish kabobs.
"I take full credit for this, by the way." Said Emilia.
"Thank you Emelia." Said Derek, biting into the kabob.
The water swarmed with other large fish, their teeth and scales razor sharp. Milo, who had been swimming for the past hour trying to succeed in bringing Emilia's plan to fruition. During that time, everyone had been sad to say the least. Losing two friends to who knows where wasn't the easiest thing. For all they knew, their friends were... dead.
It was a sorrowful thought. One that they still faced while they ate.
Then, the sound of a piano resonated throughout the cave. Even the fish began to hide.
"They're hiding guys! We can escape!" Yelled Tye.
Derek and Toby were the first to jump in, everyone else following suit. The current tried to push them to the side, but the fish did not move. They were terrified of the music. The music itself held discord within it, a darkness that made you want to curl back up into your mother's arms or into the soft comfort of your bed.
Toby was first to notice the vines, grabbing on and climbing up and up. The group continued to be pushed by wind. It was a piercing cold that was near impossible to describe. Pieces of earth fell from above, one of which hit Roberto square on the head. Racheal flinched as though something had given her a small shock.
The cool light of day was the greatest relief they had ever felt. The warm spring air was a blanket on their cold, wet clothes. Then, they saw an old friend, Nick, and his group across from them.
"Hey Nick, dude!" Derek called out, but was met with no similar friendly call.
"Who are you?"

The thing chuckled. Rishi felt as though what he was saying was not true, but somewhere deep inside, a voice told him it was. "No... You're not..." He looked at his hands, and he fell to his knees, the nightmare closing in on him.
"Oh, deeear friend, doo not be ssscared. I come to youuu with a deeeal." A piano came up out of the darkness, Sally lying limp next to it. "Youuu can sssave her. All youuu mussst do is play myy pianoo."
Rishi got up and ran over to the piano. There was no choice in his mind. The music he was supposed to play seemed to pop into his head. This discordant melody rang out as he began to play. He saw Sally's wound's from the monster become covered up with darkness.
He thought he could stop, but his hands continued to play. Rishi was no longer the one in control. He felt cold, like all the warmth had left his body. His vision became faded as well. In that moment, he did not think of his mother, his father, his sister, or even his dog. Not even his friends came to mind. The only thing he could think of was one word. King.
"Welcome back to the world of the living, King Blackmere."
