"Fish! Fish!" Lenny scuttled through the muggy water of Fish's swampish home, searching desperately for his boss. "Fi-" The perentie lizard ran straight into the thick leg of the sleek esk, stumbling a little. His boss always had a way of coming from nowhere.
"What?" Fish asked coldly.
"I found 'im!" Lenny said, bouncing slightly.
"Really?" Fish wasn't excited yet. His familiar wasn't the most effective thus far, so he met the report with the enthusiasm of a father being shown his child's eightieth drawing of the day.
"Yeah!" He ran in a tight circle.
"Yeah, I'm sure of it! He's right by the-"
"The creek." Fish's stance stiffened and his head went slowly towards the ground. "I can feel his energy."
Lenny wasn't totally sure what that meant, but that was the beauty of his boss. Always smarter, always knew best.
"I should strap in?" Lenny said, kicking his empty collar with his feet as it hung at Fish's side.
"Yeah." Fish hooked it in a claw and dragged it over Lenny's head. "Climb aboard. We're going hunting."
