Ryan crawled forward and kissed me. “Well, I’m certainly glad we’re not putting our relationship in limbo.” He kissed me again. “Because I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t be affectionate with you.”
“Aren’t you glad I closed the door?” I asked as Ryan kissed me again.
“Hell yeah,” he giggled.
I chuckled, but was silenced when Ryan kissed me again. “Out of curiosity,” I began, being kissed again, “what would you do if we had gone into limbo?”
He stopped mid-kiss and sat back. “I have no idea. If you asked me that last week, I honestly would’ve gotten excited,” he replied, a shy smile spreading across his face. “I didn’t think that I would’ve been dating you.”
“I didn’t think I would’ve been dating you either.”
Ryan smiled and kissed me again. “I like kissing you,” he whispered.
I pushed him away as he leaned in again. “Stop, I’m getting ready for bed.” I got up and began undressing for sleep, but I stopped pulling my shirt off when I realized he was still there, watching almost amusedly and curiously. “Aren’t you leaving?”
“Why?” he asked smugly. “I’m pretty sure you have exactly what I have. And I’ve seen what you look like when you’re ready for bed.” He stood up and leaned in to kiss me again.
I put my hands over his face to stop him. “Excuse me, sir, we just went on a kind-of-failure of a date. And I let you kiss me a lot. Seeing me undress is indecent.” I took a couple steps back and sighed. “I’ll see you tomorrow, okay? We can go on a proper second date, right?”
Ryan beamed. “Yeah, we can go on a proper second date.” He hugged me tightly and opened the door. “Night, Adrian.”
“Good night, Ryan.”
Ryan headed towards the stairs to head up. I crawled into the bed, and, thinking over everything that had happened to me Sophomore Year, I only prayed that I would wake up tomorrow and see Ryan again.
