The alien holding the tablet didn't even say anything to the albino alien when Ollie seemed to type in their response. Are they able to communicate to each other with just their mind only, or does it have something to do with the glimmering red gem?
Kenny has a feeling that it is that, but he will probably ask the alien he is assigned to. "The queen is pleased. She's their leader by the way," Ollie gestured to the albino alien, who is apparently their queen.
"You are being assigned to Exo," Ollie was able to point to the dark mocha skinned alien, Exo apparently. Kenny couldn't help but mentally curse himself for his luck.
Of course, he had to be assigned to the one that intimidates him the most. "You will be placed in the quarters beside his. Soon, all of us will be assigned to someone. We will be allowed to visit each other daily once everything is sorted." Relief yet also reluctance was what Kenny felt, but mostly relief for his crew.
The hand in his hair let go, and Kenny immediately reached up to rub at his abused scalp. He stood up, glancing around warily and looking behind him.
Abruptly he was gripped around his neck from the back. Not with enough force to choke him, but it was still firm enough to keep him in place. Kenny cringed, hating the feeling of being gripped by the back of his neck.
He turned his head to see it was Exo, towering over Kenny and just staring down at him. "Where to?" Kenny motioned forward, indicating that Exo lead him to his new quarters.
Some turns and awkwardly quiet moments later, Kenny found out the quarters were not what he had been expecting. The room had some resemblance to the bedrooms back on Earth, but it probably also held a few distinctions.
For one, the room was almost entirely dark, and the only lights were keeping it from being pitch black were the glowing white veins intertwined with the metal of the ceiling. They weren't intense, and some corners of the room remained in the shadows to Kenny.
He hesitated in the doorway, and Exo merely pushed him into the place, and the door slid down and shut behind them.
He looked at the alien, confused. Is this room for him? It appeared that someone had been sleeping in this room recently. The large, circular bed that was low to the ground had rumpled sheets on it and no signs of any pillows or cushions on it.
There was what looked like a tall dresser off to the side, made of some sort of metal. There wasn't a lot of furnishings. Just the vast bed that resided in the middle of the room, the metal dresser off to the side, a large mirror on the wall, and then what looked to just be a metal desk with nothing on it.
Kenny released a sigh of relief as his neck was let go, making him glance at Exo to see what the alien is doing. He went over to the wall and directly pressed his palm against it. The previously dim lights brightened, and a portion of the wall next to the dresser lit up?
Kenny gaped at it, unsure why the wall had what looked like a glowing door on it now. Exo walked over to it and walked through it. Kenny's eyebrows reached his hairline, and he quickly followed to investigate.
He touched it, curiosity eating away him to investigate it thoroughly. When he pressed forward, his hand just went through the white glowing doorway as though it wasn't there. Kenny fully stepped through, entering a smaller room.
Kenny's lips formed a small 'o' when he realized it leads to a bathroom. Or at least some sort of bathroom for the aliens. They did not have a normal toilet. It was almost like a stump that was reached Kenny's hip with a round hole right in the middle.
There appeared to be some form of a shower, with what Kenny thought was a drain on the floor, and a couple shower heads that hung from the wall instead of being nailed to the wall. There was no sink though?
Kenny finally noticed Exo, standing off to the side with his arms crossed, glaring heavily at Kenny. Kenny cleared his throat, becoming uncomfortable when he realized he just barged in.
He backed out of the room, after sending what he hoped was an apologetic look. He didn't feel comfortable to sit on the bed, and merely stood off to the side while he waited for Exo.
Exo didn't take long at all. Kenny was very confused by the alien's new choice of attire. Exo wore almost a full body suit. Something that you see divers or surfers wear.
It was fully black and seemed to be made of a rather thick material. It even covered his feet. "Are you trying to hide your body from me?" Kenny rose a single brow in amusement, knowing well that Exo won't be able to understand.
"Vlat, loku drel." Exo only spared Kenny a glance before heading back to the panel on his wall. He tapped it a few times, and the lights went out almost completely. Kenny froze. He was able to detect where Exo is due to his amber eyes and a single hint of a mark peeking out from his neck.
"Ioye," Exo approached him, and grabbed him by his arm rather roughly. Kenny winced when he was crudely forced onto the bed by Exo. Kenny repeated to himself that the alien clearly has no intention of doing what humans normally do in beds.
When Kenny's arm was finally released, he quickly scooted to the edge of the bed. Exo seemed to misread this and thought that he was trying to get out, because he just grabbed onto the back of Kenny's shirt and tugged him back.
Exo seemed startled as he tensed up behind Kenny. Kenny looked over his shoulder to see Exo feeling his shirt. Unfortunately, the aliens hadn't failed to rid him of his space suit earlier which just left him in his shirt and sweats that he wore under it for comfort.
Suddenly Exo tore the shirt, making Kenny scowl and roll over; facing the alien on his side. Exo seemed to study Kenny for a few moments before he rolled over and laid a foot away from Kenny. This honestly eased Kenny.
Exhaustion hit the biologist like a wave as he lay there. The bed covers were incredibly soft, almost like silk but they weren't silk since it was a dense material.
Kenny rolled back over, scooting under the covers until only his head wasn't covered. And that is how Kenny fell asleep, beside an alien with fierce amber eyes that matched its equally stern expression.
