“I heard that the Bapilajoe is coming to town soon? How exciting! You have everything prepared, don't you, Turnip?”
“Of course your Majesty, we have been working day and night for the last month to make this event as glorious as can be, and worthy of your Majesty”
The Kangaroo King nods. His staff is competent, and Turnip, his trusted Event Organiser, knows her business. She has been in charge of all the revelries of the last two decades, after all!
Even the Thief can’t ruin the event this time. All members of the Kangaroo Police Force are currently searching every corner of the capital to find him, it is only a matter of time now. The King is content.
In the meantime, in his tiny little backyard on the lower side of town, Brady is intensely preparing himself for the arrival of the Bapilajoe. He is a skilled Sharpsichord player, but the Triceratops Club will be terrible opponents in the music contest.
The are a band of brutes, percussion players, and they even have two hipidipop dancers that make an incredible show. The only reasons why they’re not more popular are Brady, his piano rat, and his sharpsichord. And of course, they hate all three of them for being in the spotlight.
Brady has been in his backyards for hours now, playing different tunes and songs he made up on the point : he wants to find the perfect one to beat the Triceratops Club and impress His Majesty and, of course, the Bapilajoe.
“There he is, the little scum… We can’t let him steal the glory this time, fellas! Bring me a lasso and an apple” orders Bihorn, the Triceratops Club’s boss. He is still resentful for the humiliation the Club suffered last year at the King’s Birthday Contest, where all the musicians of the realm competed in honor of His Majesty.
While Bihorn deftly uses his lasso to catch and snatch the Sharpsichord, and his helps throw the apple to knock Brady out, sending the poor piano rat flying for safety, a crisis is under way at the Bouncing Castle…
“Your Majesty! Grave news… Turnip, our dear Turnip… She has been stolen!” The Castle is in an uproar, while every single piece of furniture is being opened, every dark corner checked, every maid and groom questioned for clues about the Turnip theft.
“You need to find her! She is the only one to have the program of the festivities, without her, the Bapilajoe’s grand Welcoming will be ruined! It’s such a rare event… Find her, do whatever it takes! Give me my trusted Turnip back!” the King is getting extremely worried and close to tears. Without Turnip, no revelries.
Without revelries, the people might realize how poor the kingdom really is, and it might become a difficult situation to handle for the King, who does his utmost to offer peace and stability throughout the realm and keep the Too Long War away from his borders...
Brady is waking up in his backyard, with a big bump on his forehead and a scared piano rat on his chest, bouncing up and down in worry. He loves Brady so much, he was so scared when the Triceratops Club attacked! Also, where is the sharpsichord?
