10 years later…..
“We’re back!” A man bursting through the door shouted. He wore clothes of a nobleman and had a very familiar face.
“Ah, Luke my friend! Tell me, how was your trip?”
“Just wonderful.”
“And the lovely, yet elegant Lady Rhapsody.” Jake said as he kissed her hand.
“Jake, your flattering is outstanding as always.”
“Why thank you, M’Lady.”
Just then a young boy came running down the stairs into the arms of Luke.
“Ah! There’s my favorite son! Did you behave yourself while we were gone?”
“I sure did, dad.”
“Good.”
“Um, Luke.”
“Yes? What is it Rhapsody?”
“Where’s Emily?”
“Oh, she’s at the cemetery.”
“She must miss them greatly.”
“Yes, she does.”
The sky was clear with the sun shining down and a gentle breeze was blowing on the petals of roses and fire lilies. A woman looked down at three graves and placed the flowers on each grave. Tears fell from her eyes as she cried for them. Her sorrow would only grow until she saw them again. Her name was the Weeping Willow.
