A/n = author notes
(A/n: on the last chapter I left it on a cliffhanger because of plot reasons. So please don’t get mad! I hope you guys will understand.)
Three days later at the Diaz Household. In Marco's bedroom, Marco positions his hand over a plank of wood and Dipper watches.
Marco Diaz breathes in deeply.
Mabel and Star skip by. “La, la-la, la-la, la-laaa. Huh?”
“Hiii-yah!”
Marco chops the wood in half.
“Whoa. You hate wood, too?” Star asks.
“Yeah, crush that wood! Wood's the worst!” Mabel says. “They gave me splinters!”
“No, I'm practicing for my upcoming Tang Soo Do tournament.” Marco says
“It’s on Saturday.” Dipper says handing him more wood.
“Oh.”
“You see, guys, martial arts is all about honor and discipline. Which is why... I'm going to kick Jeremy Birnbaum's butt!”
Star Jeremy Birnbaum? Isn’t that the talking bear that used to rummage through my parents' garbage?
“I wouldn’t know.” Mabel says.
“Wait… why would he do that?” Dipper says.
“He's just this creep in my dojo who's only any good because his rich parents buy him fancy equipment and private lessons. But Saturday, he's gonna get a taste of this!” Marco explains.
Marco and Dipper stacks three planks of wood.
“Hiiiiii-YAH!”
Everything goes black.
Marco screams in pain.
Marco's broken arm is now in a cast. The cast reads ‘Get well s♡♡n! Star, Mabel + Dipper!’ and has several drawings on it.
(A/n: ouch! That must have to hurt a lot….)
Marco groans. “This is a nightmare! If I can't fight Jeremy, he'll say I wussed out, and he'll never let me live it down!”
“But what can we do about it.” Dipper says.
Star uses her magic wand to switch Mabel’s and her hairstyles.
“Pigtails?
Ponytail?
Pigtails?
Ponytail?
Pigtails?”
“I like ponytails better.” Mabel says.
“Wait a minute. You have a wand!” Dipper says.
“You could just fix my hand!” Marco says.
Star's and Mabel’s last hairstyle is a hodgepodge of pigtails and ponytails.
“You know... That sort of spell is not really in my comfort zone. Oh, but if you like, I can give you both a pretty wicked set of pigtails.” Star says.
Star gives her pigtails and Mabel a ponytail again.
“Pigtails?” Marco and Dipper groans.
Star gasps. “Unless... I could look up a bone-healing spell in the magic instruction book that came with the wand.”
Star pulls a giant book out from under her bed.
“What?!” Dipper says.
“This whole time you had a magic instruction book?” Marco says.
(A/n: yup! This whole time she could have used to help them out earlier)
“Awesome…” Mabel says.
“Yep. Whenever the previous owner of the wand mastered a spell, they scribbled it down in here.”
Star, Dipper, and Mabel opens the book, creating a cloud of dust.
“But it's a complete disorganized mess. It's gonna take me foreeeever to find—Oh! Here it is.”
“Wow that was fast.” Dipper says.
“Really?” Marco says.
“Hmm. It's in an ancient language. Releasio Demonius Infestica!”
Star shoots a beam of magic that coils around Marco's cast.
“Ahh... ahhh...! I can feel it working! My fingers are tingling!”
Marco's arm is turned into a long, blue tentacle. It leaves a slime trail on the floor.
Marco and Dipper screams.
“Don't worry! There must be a spell in here that can change it back!” Star and Mabel gasps.
“There has to be!”
(A/n: nope there is no cure for it! XD jk)
Star flips through the book's pages. Glossaryck briefly appears between two of the pages.
“I can fix it!”
Marco's monster arm slithers about on its own, knocking the book through Star's window.
“I hope.” Dipper says.
Marco wakes up in bed.
He yawns. The monster arm smacks his face, leaving slime all over him. Marco groans. In the shower, Marco washes himself with soap. The monster arm slaps the soap out of his hand, smacks his face...
“Ow!”
...and turns the shower handle to ‘Hot’. Steam fills the bathroom.
Marco screams.
(A/n: wow this is going to be a really long day.)
At the breakfast table, Marco's body is burned red. The monster arm slaps the toast out of his hand before he can eat it and knocks over everything on the table. Star, Dipper, and Mabel enters and sits down.
“Morning, Marco. Morning, monster arm. Mabel, Dipper, and I was up all night, but we haven't found a way to reverse the spell.” Star says.
“Finding spells is way harder than it looks.” Mabel says.
“We tried looking in the journal too.” Dipper says.
The monster arm grabs Star's orange juice, pours it on Marco's head, and throws the empty glass away.
They are now at Echo Creek Academy – the cafeteria. As Marco, Dipper, Mabel and Star walk with lunch trays, Marco keeps his tray out of the monster arm's reach.
“Hey, kid. I got a joke for you.”
They all turn to see Lars, the school bully harassing a boy named Francis.
“What's the most important meal of the day?” he says.
“Huh?” Francis says.
Lars slaps Francis Smithington lunch tray out of his hands.
“It's breakfast! He laughs.
Francis laughs nervously. “That's a good one, Lars.”
(A/n: nope Stanley and Sans puns are much better…*-_-)
Francis leans down to pick up his tray, and Lars shoves his face in pink frosting.
Lars laugh.
Marco's monster arm punches Lars across the face.
The students gasps.
“Who did that?!”
Marco and Dipper points to the monster arm. “Uh...”
“No one hits La—!”
The monster arm slaps Lars nine times. He runs away crying. The monster arm picks Francis up and cleans his face.
“I, sir, am in your debt.” Francis says.
Ferguson pops in and knocks Francis aside.
“You're a hero!” He says.
The students cheer.
“Can I check out that arm?” Jackie asks.
“Uhhh... sure.” Marco says.
“I want it to be my boyfriend!” A girl named Janna says.
“Me too!” Some other girl shouts.
“I don’t know why but okay…” Dipper says.
“High five!” Jackie says.
Marco smiles.
(A/n: I agree with Dipper…)
Cut to Diaz Household at nighttime.
“A-ha! I found it!”
In Star's bedroom, Star looks through her magic instruction book while Marco plays with his monster arm on Star's bed and the twins watch him.
“A reverse tentacle spell! I think.” Star says.
“Uh, maybe you should practice on something first.” Marco says.
“You know just in case.” Mabel says.
“Way ahead of you guys.” Star says.
Star takes out a potted plant.
“Returnio Armius Normalritecus!”
Star's spell burns the plant to a crisp.
They shudder.
“Uh, I'm going to bed now.” Marco says leaving the room.
“Don't worry! I'll get it!” Star says.
“We’ll stay up to find a cure.” Mabel says.
“Come on Mabel.” Dipper says. “Let’s finish looking through the journal.”
Star takes out another potted plant.
“Returnius Armius Normalrinny!”
Star's spell makes the second plant explode.
“Ugh...”
(A/n: this is going to be a long sleepless night)
Time skip from night to morning brought to you by the monster arm...
Their failed attempts include a stump with eyes, a hand with six fingers, a green foot, a multilayered hand, a foot with six toes, a large rock arm, flowers with toes, and ballooned hands.
“Let’s…try…one…more…time…” Mabel says before falling asleep.
“Returnio... Armius... Normalrino...”
Star's spell makes a normal human hand.’
Dipper gasps.
The hand gives a thumbs-up.
“Marco!”
Dipper and Star runs out of the room, then comes back to retrieve the hand and Mabel who is half asleep. Marco does push-ups in his room with the monster arm.
“673... 674... 675...”
“We did it, we did it, we did it, we did it, we did it, WE DID IT!”
“It took 48 hours of no sleep but it was worth it!”
(A/n: okay I lied there was a cure…)
“Hey, I think this monster arm might actually help me take out Jeremy. Hiiii-YAH!” Marco breaks nine stacked pieces of wood with the monster arm.
“Wait. You're gonna fight with that?” Dipper says.
“That sounds kind of unfair.” Star says.
“Yeah..” Mabel says.
Marco slowly approachs them. “Ohhhh, funny how you never have a problem using your magic when it benefits you, but as soon as it gives me an advantage, you want to take it away!”
“Marco, I think that arm's a bad influence on you.” Star says.
“Y-yeah so do I.” Dipper says.
“And I think you guys should go.” Marco says.
Marco pushes them out of the room.
“What? Fine! But I don't—!”
Marco slams the door in Star's face.
“Huh! Man, what does they know?”
(A/n: I know lots of things….lots…of…things… (Guess who says this quote))
“Don't listen to them. They’re just jealous.”
“Wha...?! You can talk?!”
“You don't need them anymore. I can give you everything you ever dreamed of.” The monster arm says.
“Really?”
“First, we're gonna destroy that little punk Jeremy.”
“Yeah...”
“Then we're gonna get Jackie Lynn Thomas to like you.”
“Yeah!”
“And then we're gonna slaughter all humans and feast on their bowels!”
“YEAH!!! Wait, what?”
“I mean, uh, w-win the tournament!”
“Yeah!”
(A/n: yeah right…you going to eat their guts)
‘Shut up! Marco doesn’t know that.’
Cut to dojo interior. A small crowd sits in the seats.
“Excuse me.” Dipper says.
“Ooh! Watch it!” A man snaps.
“Sorry.” Mabel and Star says.
“Hey! Ow!” A girl says.
They moves through the crowd's top row and sits next to Alfonzo and Ferguson.
“Sorry. Sorry. ...Sorry.”
“Are you okay, guys?” Alfonzo says.
“You all look terrible, and I have very low standards.” Ferguson says.
(A/n: not helping Ferguson…)
“We’ve been up for two nights trying to fix his monster arm, then he gets mad, and then we got to come here and watch him karate, you know?”
“Allow me to introduce our first competitor, Jeremy Birnbaum!” The sensei says.
On one side of the dojo, a seemingly tall man in a blue cloak sips water served to him by one butler while another butler massages his shoulders.
“Hiii-yah!” Jeremy says.
He pushes the butlers away and throws off the cloak, revealing a little boy standing on a footstool.
“That's Jeremy?!” Mabel and Star says in disbelief.
“That kid can't be any more than eight years old!” Dipper says.
Jeremy laughs.
Cut to Jeremy's parents in the crowd. His father holds up a sign that reads ‘WE ♡ JEREMY’.
“We love you, son!” His mom says.
“Shut it, Mom!”
(A/n: dang what’s up with kids being rude to their parents?)
“And his opponent, Marco Diaz.” The Sensei continues.
A camera dramatically zooms in on Marco on the other side of the dojo. His body is half obscured by shadow.
The audience gasps.
“Now that's an appendage.” Mr. Birnbaum says.
“Hey, wait! He's got a monster arm! That's not fair!” Jeremy says.
“Yeah! Pretty cool, right?” The sensei says.
(A/n: not helping sensei not helping…)
Marco's monster arm lashes around Jeremy's neck and tosses him around the dojo.
Jeremy grunts and screams.
The audience gasps once more.
“Hey-oh!” The sensei says.
Jeremy knocks into a trophy shelf and through the ceiling. “Whoa!” He lands on the floor covered in bruises and groans.
“Point, Diaz.” The sensei says.
“Where are your private lessons now, Jeremy? Huh?” Marco says.
The monster arm picks up Jeremy's body.
“He's beaten. Now finish him!” The monster arm laughs.
“What?” Marco says.
“This is what you've always wanted. Destroy him! Eat his bowels!”
“Not my bowels! I love my bowels!”
(A/n: wow and to think he was taking smack in chapter 6)
“Hey, listen, I just wanted to win the tournament so he wouldn't make fun of me!” Marco says.
“If you're too weak to finish him, I'll do it myself!”
The monster arm tears Jeremy's shirt, revealing his stomach.
He screams.
“My friends was right about you...! You are a bad influence!”
“And you are pathetic.”
The monster arm throws Jeremy into a punching bag. The punching bag swings backward and hits Jeremy's face.
“Point, Diaz.”
The monster arm roars.
The monster arm attacks Marco, attempting to devour him.
“Guys?! You can change it back now!”
“Star! Dipper! Mabel!” Alfonzo and Ferguson calls out their names.
Star sleeps with her head on a man's shoulder and the twins are laying on the seats sleeping, Ferguson tries to shake them awake.
“Guys, you gotta wake up!”
“Star!”
The monster arm repeatedly hits Marco against the ceiling.
“Guyyyss!!!”
(A/n: they are asleep because they spent two nights straight to help you, Marco!)
The monster arm uses Marco's arm to slap his own face.
“Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself.”
“Hey! Wake! Up!”
“Here, try this.”
Alfonzo hands Ferguson a beverage.
“Oh, thank you so much.”
“No! On them!”
“Oh, right.”
Ferguson splashes them with water, and they wakes up spitting out the water.
“Star!”
The monster arm coils around Marco's neck, choking him.
Mabel and Dipper gasps. “Marco!”
“Returnio Armius Normalrino!”
Star blasts the monster arm with magic. The monster arm dodges, and the beam turns a punching bag into an arm.
“Returnio Armius Normalrino!”
The monster arm dodges again, and Star's magic turns a dumbbell into an arm. A third blast turns a towel into an arm. A fourth blast creates a pair of arms next to Sensei that pound together. Sensei bows to the arms in return.
“Hai.”
(A/n: Stop dodging Star’s blast! I know you can hear me!)
“no.”
The monster arm keeps dodging Star's magic, making arms all over the dojo.
“Whoa!”
The monster arm hangs from the ceiling and swings gently back and forth.
“I could do this all day.”
“Ugh! He's too wiggly!” Mabel says.
“Marco the arms!” Dipper says.
Marco looks down and sees all the arms Star made with her magic. He pushes himself and the monster arm off the ceiling, and the arms catch them as they fall. The arms hold the monster arm.
“Now!” Marco says.
“Returnio Armius Normalrinooooo!”
Star's magic finally hits the monster arm, and it begins to shrink back to normal.
“You'll never get rid of me! I'm part of you now!” The monster arm is now slowly fading and getting high-pitched. “Stupid Author… You can treat the symptoms, but you'll never cure the viruuuus...!”
(A/n: hey! For your information I am really smart!)
Marco's arm returns to normal. He groans.
“Marco, are you okay?” He friends all rush over.
Marco looks at his arm and gasps. “My arm! My beautiful arm. It's back to normal.” Marco's fingers suddenly crack and snap out of place. “And totally broken.”
“Broken arm? Hah! Well, it looks like I win.” Jeremy says. A set of golden brass knuckles falls out of one of Jeremy's gloves and clangs on the floor. One of the animated arms picks it up and holds it in front of Sensei's face.
“Brass knuckles? Seriously?” Sensei says.
“Pfft! Brass? They're gold.”
“You boys have brought shame and dishonor to this great and noble sport. 'Tis a sad day for strip mall dojos everywhere.”
(A/n: So basically they both kinda lost. So…that means the trophy is mine!
Monster arm: no it’s mine! I was the one who beated them both.
A/n:…NOPE! –Kicks Monster arm out of the authors notes-)
Jeremy briefly looks at Marco before angrily kicking over some arms and walking away.
“Oh-ho, bravo, son! Bravo!” Jeremy’s mom says.
He growls. “I wish I could fight you, Mom.”
Mrs. Birnbaum gets quite…
“What a turd.” Ferguson says.
“I know right.” Dipper says.
Marco sighs. “Sorry. I should've listened to you, guys.”
“I know.” Star says.
“It’s okay.” Mabel says.
“Hey, uh, when the monster arm said he'd be back, that's nothing to worry about, right?” Marco asks.
“Right guys…?” Dipper asks.
“Uhhh... probably not?” Star and Mabel says.
Marco now has an extremely worried expression on his face. Dipper and he look down to his broken arm.
(A/n: DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!! Probably not my best intense sound effect I can make but whatever…)
