At just 16 years old, Joselynn Thorne was a rising star in the music industry, winning awards such as ‘Best New Artist’, and a Golden Album for her hit single ‘What I Wouldn’t Give’. She was expected to go all the way to the top, with rumors that she would be singing at Super Bowl XXXIX. But as is often the case, tragedy struck. Her beloved parents died in a sudden accident, and Joselynn fell into a world of depression and despair. She forfeited her fame for alcohol--and alcohol for drugs until she ended up in a rehabilitation center. She’s been trying to get her life back together, and with some therapy she might even start making music again…
Reina never knew that she needed more in her life. After everything she’s been through she would much rather be left alone in her quiet home in the woods, with nothing but water sprites for company. But there’s signs of trouble coming. It’s been over twenty years since the Great Sacrifice, surely there can’t be another evil rising. And even if there was, Reina isn’t a powerful enough magic wielder to make a difference…
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Joselynn is snatched out of her home and dragged to a forgotten world of magic and mystery. Reina tries to explain to her that Earth is too far away to get back home to, but she’s having none of it. Joselynn tries to explain that she doesn’t know why she was brought here, or by whom, but Reina knows that she’s connected to the danger that’s looming over the horizon.
Together, they must learn to withstand hardships, open their hearts, and forge their own destinies.
