Hawk Frost woke up to water splashing on her. She woke with a gasp, looking around. Her friends Skipping Stone and River Stone were next to her, looking down at her. "Oh thank god.." Skipping Stone sighed in relief, looking at her. Hawk Frost looked felt her friend lick her nose, causing it to twitch. "Glad to see you're alive..you had us worried..." River Stone sighed, smiling at her.
Hawk Frost rolled onto her side, standing up on her paws. "Sorry....just been stressed by all the spotlight..." she mumbled, looking at the two. Skipping Stone licked her cheek comfortingly. Hawk Frost watched as the male nodded, leaving the two girls alone. "Everyone's been talking...I know that almost everyone wants to leave..." Skipping Stone mumbled, looking down at her friend. Hawk Frost shook her head. "I don't wanna talk about it..." she told her friend, standing up. Hawk Frost walked away, heading into a tunnel.
She headed to the small, make shift garden of herbs. She saw everything was wilted, low in stock, or not there anymore. She looked down at the puddles, and walked to the stones in the back, winding around them. She saw a small stream that followed the stones, leading to the little garden. Hawk Frost looked up at the small water fall, walking towards it. She looked in the glistening pool, her reflection showing her distraught face. She sat down, looking at herself. Everything changed when these dreams came along.... she thought to herself, looking up at the falls.
Hawk Frost's ear twitched at the howl of an alpha, causing her to jolt up. She quickly turned, and ran, not caring about the tufts of fur and scrapes she got from the stones.
Hawk Frost limped while running, but finally made it to the stones that the alpha's sat on. She looked up at them, her ears back in pain. "Everyone has been talking as of late, and me and the other alpha's have decided. We will leave. But all of those who wish to stay will have to put a stone at the bottom of this boulder." Golden Claw announced, looking down at everyone. Hawk Frost looked at the water fall entrance. Leaving! So...can I...just... she thought, walking towards the entrance of the cave.
"Hawk Frost! Don't even think about it!" Skipping Stone yowled, running to her friend. Hawk Frost looked back, and felt fearful. "You're limping. Show me." she told her, looking at her legs. Hawk Frost gulped, and lifted one leg, letting her see the small scrapes that stung. Skipping Stone led her to the Salutary den, and grabbed a clump of leaves. She chewed at them, and set them on the cuts, watching as her friend looked relaxed instead of pained.
Hawk Frost shook the clumps off, and ran towards the exit, an excited look on her features. She was almost there when someone grabbed her scruff, pulling her back. She looked around, her eyes resting on Wind Tide. "We can't leave yet. We have to wait, make a plan, then we leave." she told Hawk Frost, a serious look on her face. Hawk Frost groaned in annoyance, and walked back. She took a seat by the stones, and counted them. She saw about twenty in the pile so far.
Hawk Frost suddenly felt dizzy, and her vision went white. Everyone ran to her as they noticed the glazed look in her eyes. She almost fell over, but caught herself.
She saw her cave, empty, quiet. The only sounds were the water fall. She stood, walking towards the exit. She looked out, and gripped the ground as she was nearly blown away. She looked around, and saw movement in the snow, causing her to run towards it. She looked down, seeing a once alive baby. She shook in fear, and saw the path once more. She looked at it, and ran. She shook in fear, and kept running, her eyes went white, stopping her.
Hawk Frost stopped dead in her tacks, looking around. She felt as her legs shook, and feel to her side, shaking harshly. She felt a few wolves nudge her, but she couldn't look. She was frozen, her body cold, and her eyes wide. "Everyone back up! She's in shock!" Skipping Stone yowled, glaring at everyone as they backed away from Hawk Frost.
Hawk Frost stared forward, her eyes glued on something. Skipping Stone looked, but only saw trees. "The..." Hawk Frost started, her voice shaking and her eyes looking as if they would leave their sockets. Skipping Stone rested her tail on her, and rested her forehead on her friends cheek. "I'm sorry...." Skipping Stone whispered. She lifted her paw, and swiped at Hawk Frost.
Hawk Frost gasped, and shot up. She looked around, seeing everyone that chose to leave with her. She shook slightly, and looked at Skipping Stone. "Better now?" Skipping Stone said, looking down at her. Hawk Frost nodded, smiling at her. "Thank you so much Skipping Stone..." Hawk Frost said, nuzzling her lightly. She looked down at where the path was, and followed where it led.
Hawk Frost ended up leading everyone to the same cliff edge she ledge the other three. She looked down at the edge, and remembered what Cinder Fern said. "...When we get the plan ready, we start with Cinder Fern leading us." Hawk Frost said to everyone, looking back at them. Cinder Fern was seen with an embarrassed look on her face, but smiled at Hawk Frost. "Thank you..." she whispered to her, making Hawk Frost nod. "But, how do we get down?" Wind Tide asked, walking towards her. "Hm.." Hawk Frost started, looking around. She noticed a group of rocks, and smiled. "We can support our selves on those stones. Once we do, Mouse Wind will lead to the forests sense she's one of the best with wooded areas. Once we get out, someone else will lead." Hawk Frost said, looking at everyone.
"Is that okay with you?" Hawk Frost asked, looking at Mouse Wind. "Of course. Anything I can do to help." Mouse Wind said, a smile on her muzzle. Hawk Frost smiled back, and looked at the cave. "Let's go see the stones." she said as she started walking back.
Golden Claw sat next to the pile, and looked down at them. "How many?" River Tail called out at her, his ear up to listen. She flicked her tail to silence him as she counted. Hawk Frost walked up and looked. "Twenty five." she said, causing Golden Claw to look at her. "Excuse me?" she said, looking at Hawk Frost. "There are twenty five stones." Hawk Frost said, standing to her feet. She walked to her den, wishing to be alone.
She laid down, curling up tightly in her hallow. She closed her eyes, ignoring her hunger. She slowly drifted to sleep, and was welcomed to another dream...
