also, tried to do a homage to the OG P.Ramlee. Personally, my favourite movie by him is Semerah Padi, but that's way too dark and morbid, so I made do with the poster of my fave comedy from him, Seniman Bujang Lapok.
I have mad respect for P.Ramlee, I grew up watching his movies with my grandparents - and my grandmother's brother was only two when he was an extra in one of P.Ramlee's movies-it's pretty amazing how relevant his movies are. I love how he composes music, I think it's one of his best talents, and although Semerah Padi definitely had better and more ambitious directing, his comedy still lives up till today. Seniman Bujang Lapok and it's commentary on the Nusantara Malays is surprisingly still accurate. Dude's a legend. That's all I gotta say. (waiting for the day Iko Uwais becomes a legend, too. //coughs//)
