Kevin cried out to his case on voice command.
“Spikezilla activate!”
A segment of the field from the ground opened with levitating mechanical arms carrying a long plain grey case. Kevin pressed a small button on the case’s handle. Kevin retracted a large bat four feet tall with an emanating blue electrical surge. Inside the barrel of the bat were metal spikes melted on wires that coiled around to the tapper. He wielded the long extensive leather wrapped grip as tightly as he could while doing tricks. His tricks hyped up the crowd to cheer.
Atreyu shouted out in a firmer tone.
“Phantom, rise from the dead and hacker glove activate!”
An enormous royal purple coffin rose from the same entrance. There were no mechanical arms to carry it, but a line of small rockets keeping it in mid-air. The coffin flew above Atreyu’s head then positioned itself to remain motionless.
Atreyu pressed his case’s button to the corner of the handle. The case ejected a gauntlet that lengthened up to his elbow with sharp nails made of pyrite scaled like a dragon’s hide. The gauntlet slipped mechanically attaching to his right arm. While the gauntlet attached, a thick green leather textured glowing glove slips through his left hand surging red wires on the forehand of glittered red pointed nails connecting to a silver brooch at the wrist turning on.
“Ha! All you have is two measly little gloves, that won’t save you.”
Kevin pointed his bat that suddenly saw the huge shadow revealing a large mummy figure wrapped in bandages unable to be identified. The figure was floating above Atreyu’s head wafting through the air; lifeless in place.
“The hell is that, a dead giant? All the more reason a freak show like you needs a beatdown.”
Kevin charged forward opening a bag tied to his waist. They were small spherical explosives batting them towards Atreyu getting into a stationary battle position.
“Great! Now I have to play defense.” Atreyu murmured.
Atreyu prepared the gauntlet’s sharp claws while he sprinted in a zigzag pattern. Kevin started to bat away all the explosives targeting Atreyu. He dodged all the explosions going off behind him. He disrupted Kevin’s streak using the gauntlet. As the bat and gauntlet clash together it caused a screeching metallic echo. The bat and gauntlet stopped one another in their tracks. The crowd was silenced as they held their fingers to their ears. Kevin pushed Atreyu back to catch his breath.Atreyu shook off blood dripping from his other arm. He slowly noticed bloody cuts slowly gashing. Kevin realized that Atreyu moved faster than him with the other arm and used his other arm that he struggled to block.
Kevin swung as Atreyu slid to his side jamming the claws into Kevin’s thighs. He kneeled down on his weakened movement. Atreyu snatches the final explosive from Kevin’s sagging beige bag on his waist. He used his glove’s nails from the fingertips to fasten to the explosive releasing a bright pink glow before blowing each of them away by the radiance of the explosion. The explosion caused the two of them to split a vast distance from each other. Atreyu gets back up on both feet sustaining little damage meanwhile Kevin struggles on his scorched underside as the varsity jacket burns off his body sizzling to dust. Kevin took the most damage; he stood back up twitching in an exhausted rage brewing inside. His eyes held bloodlust yearning to destroy Atreyu.
“I don’t care if I die! I’ll kill you for all it’s worth!” He screamed.
“Then you’ll be executed with no hesitation.”
“I don’t care! I’m still gonna fucking kill you.”
He begins to scream irrationally running with the bat stumbling on stones in the ground moving with more exertion of energy. Atreyu kneels down the bandaged wrapped figure opening a sealed panel merged with the innards of his gauntlet. Atreyu removed the bandage wrappings, unveiling a mechanical puppet with a seven foot tall upper body of an anorexic skinny human figure made entirely of a dark metal alloy. The puppet was covered in a black wool fluffed cloak adorned by unorganized green patches. The wild orange short mohawk flung from the hidden cloak’s hood as green beady ominous eyes blinked rapidly turning on. Kevin looked at the puppet in confusion steadily slowing his speed.
“The fuck is that, some type of human shield. Doesn’t matter; I won’t let you humiliate me in front of my friends!”
“This is Phantom, a fighting puppet that was created when Clash battles were first devised. I suggest you back down to my threat.”
He disregarded Atreyu’s threat running towards Atreyu jumping in mid-air using the remains of his strength to muster energy for a final blow to his head waving the bat above him. Kevin arranged both his hands to grip tightly.
“That thing’s way too old to be functional, this is the end you dumb nerd!
“At this point I’m really getting tired of these constant meaningless attacks. It’s about time we finish this.”
Atreyu gave an apathetic stare directly in kevin’s eyes and pressed a line of buttons on his gauntlet.
Phantom retracted a crescent blade from its arm slicing the cloak’s sleeve slicing the bat in two. Kevin drops onto Atreyu winding his punch as he descends from the air. Phantom donated a studded spiked fist pounding vigorously to Kevin’s face. He fell lifelessly to the ground. Before he fell and got back up, Phantom reached out to grab Kevin by foot and held him upside down.Atreyu gave a set of instructions, ordering Phantom to slam him to the ground. He left Kevin temporarily stunned stuck in place by the stone crevasse. Kevin was immobilized with his arms unable to move and defend himself. He was trapped in. Atreyu pressed a couple more buttons on the gauntlet that mad Phantom’s jaw open in sections. The locked jaw snapped open spraying widespread, concealing the rest of the field preventing the audience of witnessing the fight. Kevin started to cough vigorously from the smoke starting to reach into his lungs.
“What’s going on, why am I coughing? What the hell is this.”
“It’s either because you have something caught in your throat from eating and not swallowing which you’re probably use to. Or the fact that this is the smoke of nightshade berries and other minor poisons, slowly killing you on the inside; but hey what do I know.”
“Poison! Why isn’t it affecting you?! You aren’t a Meta and if you were; I would’ve known by now.”
“Oh because when I was born I was given a genetic enhancement as a toddler of poison immunity making me unaffected to most toxins and other health improvements since my mom is a doctor; therefore giving me the good stuff. I am a very lucky kid.”
Atreyu clasped his hands together.
“Okay! Now that the joking around is over it’s about high time I finish this nonsense and give the people exactly what they want.” Atreyu said dementedly.
