The Story of Matsumoto Yoshiki
I had gone to the store with the cookies hoping he would want them, thank goodness he did! After our conversation I went to my spot, which conveniently was near where the door to what was probably a break room. I glanced up as he took the cookies into the room. I wondered what he is going to do with them....maybe he will just throw them away. I mean they are from a complete stranger, he should be suspicious of a stranger giving away cookies.
A few moments later he came out of the room, with a cookie. I nervously tried hiding behind my book, and watched him take a bite. His eyes widened in surprise, and his face lit up. He looked....cute? What's this? My heart is....? No... this guy probably gets lots of stuff from happy customers, and besides I know I'm skilled at baking so I shouldn't get worked up over this...
A few hours later, when it was time for the store to close I got up and gathered my stuff. As I was leaving, I heard a timid voice call out to me, and to my surprise there he was. Kim Yeong. He flashed me a small smile.
"Thank you for the cookies, they were really good! I tried one, and I was very surprised with how flavorful it was! If you don't mind.... may I ask what your job is? I always see you here..." His voice started trailing off, but I understood what he meant, how could I practically live in this store with a job.
"Thank you! As for my job...I currently don't have one! I'm taking a break. I was a pastry chef though, so I used to do a lot of travel for that." He looked a bit surprised.
"Oh! Well that explains why these were so good! Well I hope you have a good night!" He waved at me before turning around and going back to what he was doing. I left and tried to calm my fluttering heart. Maybe.... I should bake more things for him? I wonder what he likes...Does he have a sweet tooth? Maybe he just likes more bitter and sour things. I want to see what he likes. I want to see his face lit up like that again. His kind smile filled my mind and soon I found myself thinking about what to bake next. I hope he won't mind! Maybe I'll bake a cake or something...
