"Hey waiter! Give me another one! " A customer had shouted.
Alex quickly got his tray and a mug. He filled the giant mug to the brim and carefully brought it to the needy customer. Ever since young, the only memories he had was of the bar. He had one day woken up at the strange place with no memories of his past. It had been like that for the past twelve years, no memories, no friends.
The closest thing he had to a family was Zank, the bartender, who had taken care of him since that day. Zank was a swell man currently in his thirties with no hair. He had ran the bar with only Alex and himself for many years and had grown attached to the young man.
Alex had worked hard, trying not to worry so much about his missing memories, supporting himself and only himself. Everyday he would watch as kids his age went to school, sometimes with their parents. This had made Alex extremely jealous as he had always wanted to go to school and someday become a royal knight. However, since he was only a commoner with no special education, the chances were close to none. Besides, no one would trust someone with an unknown background, no family and white hair.
Yes, white hair. In the country of Emucus, people tend to have black or brown hair, never white. Alex was not sure how, but when he woke up that day, at six years old, there was already several white strand of hair on his head. At eight, more white hair appeared while learning the stressful way of handling a bar. At thirteen, almost all his black hair was white. Exactly on his birthday when he was sixteen, he saw the last strand of black hair turn white.
Since then, Alex had always worn a ski cap, even when training his swordsmanship. Like that, he would not run Zank's bar out of business.
Alex had been serving customers booze and food for as long as he could remember, but that day, something changed his life.
