A beautiful day of spring of middle April. In a classroom of a famous and exclusive Institute, the nine students are listening to their literature class, though not all of them were interested in the lesson. Erik, for example, was looking outside the window, imaging himself riding his skate in the skate park of Mellener Street. Considering the nice weather, he thought it was a waste to pass the day studying, like any other boy like him. However, he wasn’t a high school student like any other, since he was ‘especial’, like his classmates. A ring echoed strongly inside the classroom, but it wasn’t the bell to mark the end of the lessons for the day, but an alarm. The noise called the attention of the nine students, which were impatiently staring at the door, waiting for someone to arrive. And as expected, someone entered inside the classroom seconds after the alarm.
- There is currently a robbery in the west side of the city - announced the woman that just made her appearance. - Considering the conditions of the case, we’ll need Mr. Rivolta and two more to support us in the operation.
- Perfect, I’m ready to go! – said excited Erik Rivolta, taking his special skateboard, which was lying near his desk all the time.
- Who also should go out? – asked calmly the interrupted literature teacher.
- Any of them should be fine – answered the woman.
- Then I wanna go this time! – rising his hand, Samuel Keller offer his aid, excited to go on mission.
- Me too! – said at unison both Stephan and Andres.
- Vasco, you’re grades are terrible in my class! – said the young teacher, with her sweet but scolding voice, like she was addressing to her little brother - Reinhardt is going better, so I allow him to go. Keller is doing fine as well, so I’m fine with those two. – Then, for some seconds, the teacher gave to Erik a reprimanding gaze – Rivolta, I’d prefer having you here considering your bad grades, but if is a request form the Special Defense Department…
- Yeah, I promise I’d study! – “Eventually”, he thought as he rushed outside the classroom at high speed, followed by Samuel and Stephan.
- Sorry for interrupting your class, Miss Normann – said the woman to the teacher – Then I take my leave as well.
- Oh, sure, no problem, Miss Wittich. All right boys, let us continue our lesson!
The three enthusiastic students ran towards an armored vehicle that was waiting for them. On it, other six men were already waiting to depart. Once inside, the vehicle rushed out the wide garage of the building. The men were members of a riot squad, all wearing heavy protection and carrying wide especial shields. Only the three young students were lacking an armor for themselves. As the vehicle crossed at high speed the city, one of the men explained the situation to the three students.
- So, we have a bank robbery this time. A group of four individuals, capable of use DunkelLicht energy. They currently are holding a group of hostages and… - the man stopped for a while, as he was listening to a communication through his headphones – We have news from the police: they had allowed the criminals to escape in exchange for the hostages. They’re moving west through Heerstraße highway.
- Leave it to me! – said Erik, interrupting what his superior was about to say – I can reach them faster than you. I’ll stop them and give you all the time needed to capture them!
- Uhm… it seems a good idea. Ok, you go first, Erik – said the man – Try just to avoid too much damage t- H-hey! Where are you going?!
- See you later!
Opening the back doors of the vehicle, Erik jumped outside, riding his skateboard. Before touching the road, he used his ‘power’ to rose over the flow of cars on the street. Looking around for a few seconds, Erik was able to locate himself, then going straight towards the highway the criminals were.
- Damn, that kid! He just rushed outside without even hear the features of the robber’s car… - the man guiding the operation was again astonished by Erik’s lack of discipline – Well, I count on you two to have our backs!
- Don’t worry, man. We have you cover! – said Stephan to assure his superior.
- And you, try to not blow everything like the last time, got it? – scolded the man to the young one.
As the police vehicle was reaching the highway, the criminals were about to leave the city. Judging by the speed and the hurry of a certain car, Erik thought it was the car he was searching for. As he was getting near to it to get a better look, he was almost hit by a ray of dark energy. “That was close!”, he thought. “But now I’m sure those are the bad guys!” Confirming his target, Erik sped up to stop the dangerous fugitives.
