In Emucus, there are knights that deal with pest, monsters, occasional dragons or people with natural power. Those with natural power like F, were considered dangerous to the kingdom, they hold great power and can use them freely. The knights, to counter that, use powered weapons that they sometimes find in dungeons.

The top knight, along with the ten knight captains, wield these weapons. Ever since they started hunting down those with natural power, their population had decrease, the biggest threat to these knights were the demon lord and F.

As a result, the ten knight captains, excluding the top knight, each commanded a group. The Red Chariots, The Black Snakes, The White Stallions, The Purple Winds, The Grey Fogs, The Blue Oceans, The Green Vines, The Pink Dreams and The Gold Summer. These nine groups were known throughout Emucus as the place only heroes could end up. However, the tenth group, The Nameless Shadows, were more of a secret to the  public. They were strong but violent and handled most of the dirty work around the kingdom.

The top knight, Julius Hunter, oversees these groups and makes sure they do not get out of hand. Especially The Nameless Shadows.

Alex was unaware of these conditions, he only thought it was just one big group of knights. The entire crowd stood still, overwhelmed by the presence of the top knight. That was one of the Julius' powered weapons, a suit of armor that inspires awe into a crowd, great for motivating a crowd.

Alex, being Alex, just looked around while everyone got on one knee. Julius looked straight at Alex, Alex looked straight back. The top knight was a little surprise, Alex was the only candidate to be able to resist his powered weapon. Meanwhile, Alex was just confused as to why everyone was kneeling.

Julius smiled and said, "On your feet, soldiers. Your test begins, try not to fall too far back. "

The crowd cheered and stood up. They charged towards the doors and pass the top knight. All except Alex, who was still confused. So he walked. When he passed the top knight, Julius felt a chill up his spine, there was something about Alex that unnerved him.
