Hair fell into Alex's eyes. He panicked and put his ski cap back on. The captains were unsure of what they just witness, it was the first time in history that someone with white hair showed up. However, there was no time to debate whether Alex was dangerous, selections had already begun. Zack was in deep thought, so he did not want anyone.

Julius announced, "I would like to announce that the candidate I am going to pick is number 222. He has shown great swordsmanship and sportsmanship. Let us all hope he grows up to be a fine young man.

Number kept getting called, Alex's number drew closer. Right before his number, number 238, the noble that fought Alex was chosen to join The Red Chariots.

"Number 239! Come forward. " Gwen shouted.

Alex stepped forward, Julius continued with what Gwen was saying, "Any captains would like him in their group? "

None of the captains raised their hands. Alex started to walk out, thinking he would have to do better next year. Before he left, Zack broke from his line of thought, "Hold it number 239! "

Alex stopped in his tracks. Zack jumped from where the seats were and walked towards him. The other competitors gave way to the captain. Zack asked, "Do you know why you were not selected for any groups?"

"Because I'm not good enough. " Alex replied through gritted teeth.

"You think that, but that's not the reason. People despise the unknown, they fear it. No matter how you put it, people are afraid because of your white hair. " Zack said.

"I don't know wh- " Alex shouted and got interrupted.

"However, I respect your talent, how 'bout it? Join my group, be a member of The Nameless Shadows, you will never be judged there. " Zack  offered.

"If I refuse? " Alex asked.

"Then I kidnap you. Simple. " Zack laughed.

Alex accepted and went up onto the podium where all the other chosen ones were at. He sat down around the table with the words 'The Nameless Shadows' on it.

In the end, the other groups had several candidates each, but Alex was the only one in The Nameless Shadows. Soon, the captains appeared to give a speech each. Zack, instead of going up, went in the direction of Alex. Just then, Julius called out, "Zack, get up here, it's your turn. "
