Morning (afternoon)

The sunlight streamed gently through the window

(as I'm writing, I hear a roll of thunder)

It lit the room with a sharp, contrasting light

(the rain grows louder outside the window)

The various sounds of birds and bees doing their business filled the air

(the rain and thunder continues to serenade my thoughts)

The leaves 2 feet away from my window were brightly lit,

looking like something out of a painting with bright colors.

(the same leaves are now dripping and wet with the constant rain outside)

Ah! I love the sunny mornings of New Hampshire!

(but the rainy afternoons can just get their own full day, thanks.)
