This is Shira's little back story sort of thing, basically she was a poverty ridden child who grew up with only herself to rely on. Once she found people who meant enough to her, she would give anything to save them. Even her own life.

Being the next to bear the book she must find the other five people who hold the secrets to destroying The Queen. Hopefully this timeline goes better than the ones that failed in the past.
