It's hard to get out of a habit you don't even know you have, like lets say, stomping all over peoples feelings so you don't have to deal with them.

I really didn't expect that reaction. I doubt Buck did either. Charlie appreciating the trust put in him, the weight of what Buck shared, is a very... positive might not be the word but a reaction that moves things forward, not back. Trusting Buck to know himself and his limits instead of getting overprotective. I'm really glad this is the route you went
