After the whole situation, everyone just went to bed. There weren't that many guest rooms, so everybody just shared a room with their usual rooming partners.
Harry slept in Draco's room on a spare bed the blonde had conjured. Well, that was the plan anyways.
The next morning Draco found Harry in his bed. At first Draco wanted to get angry. Harry is old enough, he ahould be sleeping by himself. But he couldn't. Draco had so much turmoil built up from all of this. His family was dead. The man he'd grown up with as a role model killed his mother and tried to kill him. How is someone supposed to react to that? He didn't know. He didn't want to know. Draco just wrapped his arms around the sleeping little Harry and held him tight. He found comfort in having someone there, but he could help but wish that normal aged Harry was here to comfort him. Little Harry was cute but, it's like having a puppy. It's better than nothing, but still not enough.
Draco had fallen back to sleep, but a few hours later a muffled voice called out his name. "Draco. I'm hungry." Harry said, his voice muffled by Darco's shirt. Once he realized that he'd been holding Harry a little to close, Draco shot away a little. "Haha. Oops, sorry Harry." He said. "Come on then. Let's go down and get some breakfast." He continued, rushing out of the room.
Harry just sat on the bed. He was sad because Draco had been crying in his sleep again, but this time he kept whispering Harry's name. Harry's last name. Could it have been that Draco hadn't really been calling out for him, but him as a big person? Harry wished he could help but he didn't know how. All he could think of doing is trying to grow bigger, faster. He didn't know how in the world he was going to do that, but he'd try if it meant Draco would smile again.
Everybody was already down there eating breakfast. Draco smiled and greeted them with Harry (who had run to catch up) behind him.
They ate breakfast and Draco showed Harry his old play room. The others went about the grounds. Hermione found a library where Pansy happily joined her. Blaize and Ron decided to go hang out in the blowing alley. Neville asked Luna out to skate rink.... because that surely won't end in injures. Everyone really enjoied eachothers company and the whole group grew really close. Even more so, the pairs that seemed to develop in the group.
Everyonce in a while, Draco would drop Harry off with one of the pairs so he could go make preprations. Harry really liked being with Hermione and Pansy. They were almost always in the library so he could almost always talk them into helping him look into the spell and ways to grow up faster. Of course, he never told them why he wanted to grow up so fast.
Days flew by quickly. One by one, pairs went out to go shopping for Christmas presents. Harry wasn't sure what had happened during Hermione and Pansy's trip, but they came back awkward. Odd. The next day they seemed fine though. Hermione and Pansy kept holding hands and giggling together. Harry had no clue what was going on, but he had an idea.
Once Draco had left him with the pair at his own request, Harry looked at the two who looked at eachother.
"So you two are dating right?" He asked.
They both froze. Hermione's face turned bright red and Pansy's dusted with a deap red blush. "Uh, well. You see, um..." Hermione shot a look at Pansy for help, but all she got in return is, "He's your friend. You tell him."
As Hermione stumbled over her words Harry grew impatient. He crosses his arms, turned the sass up to ten and said. "You know I'm ten, not stupid, right?" Harry even did thw sassy head bobble as he spoke. Hermione went silent. "It's obvious you two are in love with eachother. It's kinda gross to be honest."
Pansy burst out laughing. "I think it's safe to say, the sass is strong in this one. I don't know whether to be insulted or proud." She doubled over layghing again. Hermione seemed to be caught in the same issue.
"What ever. Can you please reach that book for me?" He said, switching back into cute and innocent Harry as he spoke. Hermione got up to get the book while Pansy wondered just how often that kid did that.
