I can't decide how I feel about this. I get they don't want him to come and be 7th wheel when they're trying to go in a date. Totally understandable. I can't decide if I don't like that they didn't tell him or not though. On one hand, if they told him, he would've been sad (like now) but at least they were honest. On the other hand, if he hadn't accidentally been blabbed too, they could've just gone on their date and avoided hurting his feelings because they care about him and don't want him to feel bad for being single.
