On the way here Lucas was helping me walk to the nurses office. I couldn’t help but notice how many people were looking at us. From what I could tell, they were mostly werewolves. I only know this because they had their ears and tail out at the time, it’s okay if we show our features in between classes because the human teachers stay in their classroom.
The werewolves kept staring at us and it was starting to make me uncomfortable. Why me of all people? What did I do to deserve this?? Right before we entered the nurses office I saw Nuru, Maccon, and Kayden. Kayden whispered something to Maccon while Nuru and Maccon glared at me. Their gaze was so intense that it made a chill go down my spine.
Now, Lucas and I are just waiting for the nurse to come over. I just want to go home, this day could not get any worse. I tilted my head up and sighed. At least I have Lucas with me.
I looked at Lucas who was standing next to me. He looked angry for some reason, and he kept looking at the door and glaring at someone or something.
“Lucas, what ya lookin’ at?” Lucas seemed to snap out of whatever state he was in and looked down at me.
“Huh? Oh, it’s nothing really.” He looked around the office and then whispered in a somewhat angry tone. “Where is the nurse?”
The nurse then appeared in front of us with a puff of smoke. I guess the nurse is a witch then, that’s nice to know. Most witches work in the medical field because their magic is far more advanced than modern day medicine. They usually just give you a small glass vial filled with whatever is needed to cure whatever sickness you are in.
“You called?” The nurse said in an almost sing song voice. She was pretty tall, had blonde hair, and beautiful peachy skin. She wore a nurses outfit that was a little to short and seemed more like a Halloween costume than a proper nurses outfit. She had a beautiful hourglass figure that I was somewhat jealous of.
“Finally,” Lucas hissed. “Yes, my friend here hit her leg on the desk as we were about to leave class.”
“Hmm, why don’t you go off to class and I’ll take care of your… friend here. The late bell will ring any minute now.”
“Really?” Lucas eyes widened and he looked at the clock. “Ah, I’ll see you later Charlotte okay?” He grabbed his bag off the floor and then hurriedly walked out the door.
The nurse sighed as he left and then took out her wand. She whispered some sort of spell and then floated me over to another chair. “So, Charlotte was it? Why don’t you tell me what really happened. Hitting your leg on a desk is not going to leave that big of a mark.” She motioned to the part of my leg that Nuru kicked. It was starting to leave a bruise now.
“Uhm, well.” I looked down at my feet and sighed. If i tell her, they’ll get in trouble and hopefully stop messing with me. I quickly thought about what might happen if they didn’t get in trouble and mentally shook my head, it’s better to tell her.
“Before the last class started I went to the bathroom, and in the bathroom were these two girls. They ended up cornering me and one kicked my leg…” I looked down at my wrist remembering how Maccon grabbed it. “But I did hit my leg on a desk before I came here, if that makes any difference..”
“Do you know who those girls were?” She asked while going through a cabinet looking for something. “I can report this for you, those girls would get in trouble.” She grabbed a bottle and turned around.
“I know their first name, but not their last. Their names are Maccon and Nuru, and they’re both in my third hour class. Our teacher is Mr. Lewis.” I hope telling her is the right thing to do. The last thing I want is for them to keep picking on me for whatever reason.
“Oh, them again? It’s only the first day of school,” she sighed and then handed me the vail. “Drunk this, it will make any pain go away and the bruise should disappear within an hour or two.” I did as she told me and drank the liquid. What does she mean by ‘them again’?
“Oh, if you don’t mind me asking. What’s your name?”
“Oh! Silly me I guess I forgot to say! I’m Miss Vandran, but I prefer to be called Ms. V.” I handed her the now empty vail and she took it away. “I’ll write you a pass to explain why your late to class, and don’t worry. I'll just write down stomach ache. What your next teacher doesn’t know won’t hurt em!” She giggles and then began to write the pass with her pen. On the other side of the room the vail seemed to be cleaning itself. She ripped the pass out from her notepad and handed it to me.
“Thank you. I’ll go to class now.” I nodded my head at her, grabbed my bag and then left.
“I hope I don’t see you to soon!” She said laughing to herself.
