How’s it going everyone? I’m taking a short break from the story to give you all a brief history of the series, The Squealer. Recently, I asked if anyone had any questions for me, to leave them. As I expected, I didn’t get a lot of questions. Actually, I only received one question. But I’ll happily answer it.
“Where do you get your inspiration for such creatures in The Squealer?”
The answer is actually a funny story. Well, I actually created The Squealer himself much before I ever had an idea of giving him a novel. I’ve always had a fascination with creating monsters and such, probably due to me loving animes. The Squealer is actually a monster I drew when I was in high school. I was bored in class and decided to draw a monster. Thus, the Squealer was created. I loved the drawing so much that I kept the thought of the creature in my head. I was originally going to use his design for my comic, “Monster Cops”. But I decided to give him his own novel, mainly for the Writer’s Camp. I chose Squealer because I felt he was the best to make a story about. Out of all my monsters, Squealer just had an effect on me that I couldn’t let go.
As for the rest of the creatures, they were merely created by me from my own demented head. Long story short, I don’t necessarily have an inspiration for my monsters. They’re just creatures that come into my imagination. Call me weird if you want but that’s it. As for the premise and how some of these monsters work, that’s heavily inspired by SCP’s. If you’ve never heard of SCP’s, look it up. It’s full of cool monsters.
I have a catalog of monsters I’ve created. In the catalog, the Squealer is #057. That’s right. The Squealer is 57 out of the 66 monsters I currently have on file. And that file is still growing.
Well, there you have it. That’s pretty much the history of The Squealer. I hope that cleared anything up. If it didn’t, ask me anything else you want to know in the comments. Thank you so much for reading.
