We made it inside the territory with no problems and soon we were in view of the town we padded through the empty stone streets the wind whistling was the only sound everywhere was charred remain of abandoned houses. Sage one of Sanka's friend asked me "What happened here?"
I answered her and explained that a huge army of rouges came and burned the whole town to the ground except where I lived and that they had ripped my family apart piece by piece and hung them up on stakes.
They all had horrified looks on their faces and padded on walking up a small slope and there in the ruins stood my lone house and the stakes of my mother, father, and my little sister ripped to pieces I kept on a brave face but bowed my head as I passed Sanka and his friends following but more slowly soon we made it inside and while they went to keep watch outside I grabbed my satchel and stuffed a bunch of clothes and some personal things then I ran downstairs and in the middle was a small stone pillar as tall as my chest and on top was a small glowing violet gemstone set in silver I hesitated to grab it remembering what my father told me; only put it on when something bad happens to me and I can no longer guide you.
Slowly I grabbed it and suddenly my restricted powers flowed back inside me the gemstone disappeared and was now set in my forehead with silver wrapped around it and all the way around my head like a crown I walked out the door and the group all gasped as they saw my head and I explained the whole situation to them about my restricted powers I then shifted and Wings grew out of my back I flapped them a few times and I heard Sanka draw in a breath He gave me a look like can I touch them I nodded at him even if in my culture it is an intimate thing to do and as he touched them I got butterflies and didn't know why I got those kinds of feelings and I tried to ignore them as we set off for my new home and I was looking forward to living with Sanka and I didn't know why maybe I was falling for him.
